Likes

Good academic scholarships are available for good academic progressive students.
Eligibility 65% or above application from nitte official website seat secured and opportunity to study in a reputed college exams are conducted sem wise and well secured exam passing level is 90% and above
Course is very relevant and has good job opportunity for best academics and campus experience and since it has ranked nirf we got very good lab facilities and a good value of college every place so it's the best choice

Dislikes

Hostel facility is adjustable but food is very bad as in every college.
Yearly exams are tough for students since they need to concentrate whole for finals
In the frequency and difficulty of exam are nit so bad the admission process should be more prosperous and easy

Likes

The classrooms are well ventilated and enough room for the sunlight to enter, there is no issue based on the electricity.
The teaching methodology is organized and the conduction of exams is procruted and the department I study in(ise) ,the teachers are very helpful and knowledged.
The campus is large enough to occupy the amount of students studying, and the environment inside college with others is quite warming and healthy.

Dislikes

The location of the college is in the outskirts of the city, leaving us to opt for college bus or ow vehicle
Attandance that is maintained is very strict, there could have been some room for attandance because maintaining 85 throughout the sem is a bit difficulty considering the extra curricular activities that take place

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good,there are companies that approach even with recession going on. Last year (2024) there were 145 companies that visited and the average package bring 7 lpa. Hopefully we have the same amount or even more companies visiting this year.

College for good placement

Likes

College provides good placement facilities, Career development cell is there for preparation of placement and they are able bring good number of companies.

Dislikes

Academic department don't co-operate with placement department. They more focus on academic performance.

Placement Experience:

Best part of this college is placement. They have created a Career development cell to focus on placement. They provide training for the placement. They are able to bring good number of companies in the college. Average CTC of the placement is around 5.5 lakhs.

A Honest Review On Nitte Meenakshi Institute Of Technology

Likes

Lush Green Campus having a peace atmosphere to study and innovate
The electronic infrastructure is very nice ,so many options are given to students
Several clubs and centre of excellences are provided to be a part of

Dislikes

Way too far from the city, travelling to the college is a big task
We need to pay for the vehicle parking which is very expensive
Lab assistants are not good at their subjects also

There are electives options in the curriculum which helps students to choose what they like otherwise also the college is a autonomous institution affiliated to VTU , so 40% of the syllabus keeps changing every year according to the market

Campus has nice vibes as it is situated in the outskirts of udupi
Campus has lot of experienced teaching staffs
Most of Teachers are very helpful to students

Dislikes

As the campus is in the outskirts very tiring to travel daily
Some of the professors are not helpful and are not helpful
Inside campus there is no food court built separately canteens are not tup to the mark

Course Curriculum Overview:

My intrest was only on mechanics of vehicle so I decided to choose mechanical engineering.Each sem exam has a gap period of only 2 months within next two months we have sem exams which is very hectic.

Among all the colleges in Bangalore it's campus is descent
Faculty is descent here, few are supportive even.

Dislikes

The curriculum is very hectic, in first year there are 8 classes everyday
You won't get time to work on yourself, it's really very hectic
There are 3 midsems 2 la tests and then the endsems, there are so many exams and tests and you won't get a lot of holidays.

Placement Experience:

Placement are average, the average package is 6 lakhs per annum and median is less than that, don't opt for lower branches here, and no major companies come here. Last year's highest package was 41lpa that too off campus On campus highest package was 30lpa

College life from student point of view.

Likes

First of all when I came for class I liked faculty very much. They are very supportive.
I like greenery around the college where we get peace and intrest for study.
I like infrastructure and placement opportunities here.

Dislikes

Our college is far from the banglore city and we face transportation difficulty.
When compared to other colleges our campus is small to explore.
Day to day expenses are more as they charge more for food and study related materials inside the campus

Placement Experience:

In our college placements are good compared to other colleges. The average package in our college is around 6.5 lpa. They provide internship opportunities as well. If I don't get placed in the college I decided to write the gate and to join mtech.

Best environment, we have many parks and we have temple too.
Importance for sports and greenary. Recently they planted 100 plants in our campus.
Good response form the coordinator for every problem.

Dislikes

Academic marks calculation system which is very worse.
There is no choice subjects in first year of our degree.
I heard that hostel food is average and they provide same type of food for continuous 3 days.

Placement Experience:

From third year students get eligibility for placements in campus. Many companies such as Amazon, zenken, Capgemini, Flipkart and others more than 300 companies visit every year for campus recruitment. Last year that is 2023 we had highest placement of 41.2 lpa and average was 7.6 lpa. They 92 percent of students getting placements. My plan is to become and web developer after my degree.

Likes

Green campus. The campus is very good. It's not too big not too small.
Seniors are very helpful. If you need some guidance in academics or in coding, they're very helpful.

Dislikes

The curriculum, which is almost not so good in almost every college. So, yeah, it needs improvement.
Mess food. No food is even comparable to food prepared by our moms.

Placement Experience:

Majority of the people get placed, around 90% students get placed, some of them go for higher studies or prepare for govt. jobs or some of the do startups as well. Highest was around 25LPA. So, people get placed in majority cases.

Mess it mostly good but having same menu for 3 years has made me loose interest
Hostels are really good considering all the colleges I hv seen
Faculty are really supportive and friendly if u develop a good relationship with them

Dislikes

College is too small and sometimes it feels compact, like a cell
They don't let us review our final year papers so we can see whether it is corrected properly
I as a third year student don't like going to mess as no change in menu for 3 years

Placement Experience:

College does provide with college placement and we have a placement cell too which works on that. For internships you can directly talk withbthe senior professors for guidance and reference and they will provide you with necessary. My plan is to get a job and start working and I will complete my masters while doing job
