Course Curriculum Overview

3

My intrest was only on mechanics of vehicle so I decided to choose mechanical engineering. Each sem exam has a gap period of only 2 months within next two months we have sem exams which is very hectic.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarship programs available in this college. Scholarships like SSP and many other .The toltal cost of my fees was 83000 per sem and additional cost of college bus. There is no In campus employment facilities

Campus Life

3

One of the most awaited technical fest in Nitte is Inccredia which held at February every year. The library has vast collections of books and journals. The classrooms are not up to the mark and very old .Sport activities are not that promoted in college. There are many clubs in the campus

Admission

The eligibility of the course for us was based on the DCET cut off rank as I had applied for lateral entry. The application forms are easily available in the administrative block the office faculty are very helpful

Faculty

3

Our department had the vast number of faculties as compared to other branches. The faculties use projectors to explain the chapters in the class. For each class of 60 a mentor is given so that to understand the difficulties faces by any students. If an individual has any problems which he can discuss with the mentor and get it sorted. Most of the teachers are very helpful they tell if you don't understand any topic taught in the class you can visit thier cabin seperately and clear the topic.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
