Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester where you have to do an internship project for the semester based
Most of the companies that visit are from the news organisations like Bangalore Times, The Hindu, Mint, Times of India, Deccan Herald and other companies like ITC also visit frequently. I am not quite sure about the packages offered.

- The university's campus is a large space. There are separate blocks for UG and PG. I appreciate the overall campus life, and also the environmental aspects like trees and plants around.
- As several events take place on campus everyday, the campus life always has something happening, make the day fun and entertaining. However, the quality of social interactions depends on your willingness to interact with people.
- There is a good student-teacher relationship which helps the mentorship be of quality. With interactive teaching and seminars by industry experts, the teaching quality is good.
Dislikes
- The placement services are good for this course, as it provides students with multiple job opportunities in various top industries. Students get hired in top firms like ITC, Deccan Herald, The New Indian Express, Bangalore Mirror, CNN, Pink Lemonade.
- The quality of infrastructure is updated for this specific course as it provides the students with audio and visual studios for the different course activities.
- The course is very relevant to the career of my choice as it focuses on more forward topics. The hands-on experience in the studio as well gives a glimpse of how things work in the real world. The knowledge given by this course will definitely help.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Aspects of the course like Reporting and editing, advertising and PR drew my attention to this course. It covers a wide range of subjects in the Journalism industry making the student aware of every branch. The difficulty level of the exams is good, not too difficult. Proper preparation can help gain high marks easily.

- Use of slides, ppt, and other engaging sessions like talk shows and guest lectures
- Clean campus, books are easily available in libraries. Frequent programs to engage students.
- Good faculty members, specially english department
Placement Experience:
By the end of the 2nd semester, we are constantly notified about any vacancies in any department. The college placement cell sends us notifications through our class monitors or sometimes throyoutlr HOD. Even after the end of our final semester exam, we are added in a group that is specially meant for job opportunities and placements, where they constantly update and notify us. Out of 32 students in our class, a total of 12 students got placement.
As for me, my plan is to do PhD in the said field.

- Campus is verh beautiful with lots of greenary
- Professor with wide range of knowledge , most of the professor are PhD holders
- Make students do presentation which helps in future
Dislikes
- Class rooms should be updated like benches, floor
- Washroom are not top notch , doors are not good
- Lunch period is 1hr which is too much, which we don't want that much time to have have lunch

Being a literature student we study more theory then the practical they should be a practical improvements in the department which is related to literatures
The curriculum prepared us to the real world because you are studying politics social and gender patriarchal everything connects us to the real world

- Students are very nice and friendly, there isn't a lot of racism seen
- teachers are good in their given subjects and they make things easy to understand
- infrastructure is nice and cozy, i don't feel too out of place
Dislikes
- being a student studying out of state for the first time is nerve wrecking
- some teachers do not teach properly and that makes it hard to understand what is required
- the attendance requirement is very strict which we have to try our best to not lag behind
Course Curriculum Overview:
curriculum is extensive and large and some students find it hard to grasp all the knowledge given for the syllabus. it may seem daunting at first but i rather prefer this than having little to nothing to study as it helps me find new things to read which i would have never figured out before.

Placement Experience:
Average package of six lakh per annum offered Every year. Students from mass communication and journalism have a plus point of getting into various fields, such as media advertising, public relations, marketing, content, writing, technical writing etc. Every year professionals from different industries come and guide the students and their final years to provide them for their industry experience. The highest package was somewhere around 12,00,000. 90% students get placed every year.

St. Joseph's College is one of the oldest Catholic institutions and is a brand which is one of the factors that has attracted me. The reason I went with the course was because of the exposure the course offers as most of the professors are from the industry and they don't give any oldschool textbook knowledge. I wanted to do a full fledged Masters degree and not a diploma and this is one of the few colleges in Bangalore which offers this course.

Remarks:
It is one of the oldest colleges in Karnataka. All the PG programmes are reasearch oriented and hence gives an over view of research. They also conducts many annual festivals and national quizzes. English department has teachers who are well qualified. Their down-to-the-earth kind of behaviour and attitude towards students make them extraordinary. They are well experienced too.

The principal can smile a bit more. Other than it's good, try to understand that it can be difficult for students to adjust to new surroundings.

I got the admission on the basis of my bachelor examination marks, apply to this college through their official website and an interview session was conducted which I cleared and got into the course.

According to the reviews online, Bangalore University (BU) is an average university and is known to be deteriorating day by day.
- Students are irritated by their evaluation system.
- They tend to check the answer sheets carelessly.
- The faculty never completes the syllabus.
- The announcement of results is delayed quite often.
- The condition of the campus is deteriorating and no action is taken to solve it.
- There is a lack of core technical subjects in B.Com.
It is suggested that you do not go for BU, as it won't provide learning and understanding courses, topics and the concepts. It will be better if you opt for VTU instead.
