Bangalore University: 18 Answered Questions

How can I get degree certificate from Bangalore university if college is closed?

Priyanka Patel

getting degree certificate from Bangalore University when your college is closed:

if your affiliated college has closed/de-affiliated, Bangalore University (BU) still holds your academic records. here's what to do:

  • Contact BU directly: visit Bangalore University's examination section at Jnanabharathi campus, Bengaluru. bring all available documents — marksheets, admission records, fee receipts, any certificates you have
  • Verification: BU will verify your enrollment and academic records from their central records even if the college has closed
  • Application process: fill the degree/certificate application form at BU exam section. BU maintains records for all past affiliated colleges
  • Documents you'll need: previous marksheets/migration certificate if available, ID proof, passport photos, information about which year you studied and which college
  • Fees: normal degree certificate fees apply

it may take longer than normal — 60-90 days — as BU needs to dig into archived records. be patient and persistent. contact BU's examination helpline or visit the Jnanabharathi campus directly. bring as much documentation as possible.

How is the BCA in Bangalore University?

Sakshi Gupta
Aditi BanerjeeLives in Bangalore

My brother is a BCA graduate from Bangalore University with four years of experience in the Software Industry. He was the gold medalist of his batch. At present, he is at the same pay and designation as his BE counterparts. However, he had to face some circumstances which proved to him the significance of one’s degree.

He applied to Georgia Tech University through Udacity, for an MS. However, his application was rejected because the university requires at least 4 years in UG from its applicants. Next, he applied for a well known product based company through referral, and was not even shortlisted for the interview.

Upon enquiring, he got to know that only B.E./B.Tech graduates were being considered by the company. Between him and his colleague, the latter was preferred for an onsite opportunity because that person was a B.Tech graduate.

According to my brother, if you wish to pursue BCA, do complete your higher studies before entering into the IT industry. As far as Bangalore University is concerned, it is a good institution for anyone who is ready to put in the hard work.

Which is better, Bangalore University or Mysore University?

Kumar Shiwam
Nishant KhatriResearch Scholar in Sociology at University of Mysore

If you are considering pursuing higher education and are wondering about the advantages of studying in a prestigious university, you should consider studying at the University of Mysore, rather than going for Bangalore University.

Here are some reasons why studying at the University of Mysore might be a great choice for you:

  • The University of Mysore is a renowned institution that attracts students from all over the country. It is everybody's dream to study there and make a successful career for themselves.
  • Mysore city itself has a charm of its own, with its lush green campus and beautiful surroundings that add a lot of energy to your academics.
  • The professors at the University of Mysore are fantastic and are dedicated to encouraging students to achieve their goals. They are also taskmasters who challenge students to perform at their best, which can make scoring a decent percentage quite difficult.
  • There are now many private and deemed universities in India, which provide students with more choices for higher education. However, in my time, there was no choice but to study at either Mysore or Bengaluru, and failing to secure a seat at either of these universities meant jeopardizing one's future.
  • Both the University of Mysore and Bengaluru University have produced exceptional talent that has contributed to the betterment of the nation. However, my personal preference would be Mysore because of the calmness and serenity that the city brings.

Studying at the University of Mysore can be a great opportunity to receive a high-quality education and benefit from the beauty and serenity of Mysore city.

How is Bangalore University? Is it easy to pass?

Sunayana RoyStudied at Bangalore University

Bangalore University offers good academics. Scoring the pass mark is easy. But you need to put in the effort to score higher marks.

Courses such as Microbiology, Life Science, Biotechnology, Genetics, etc. are comparably easier to score good marks. The evaluation process is a little difficult for courses such as Physics, Biochemistry, Political Science, etc. Just solving the previous years' questions will not help you score good marks in these subjects. You need to complete the syllabus as well.

How is Bangalore university for mba?

Mousumi Chatterjee
Taniya SrivastavMBA from Bangalore University

The MBA program offered by Bangalore University is average at best. The academics are decent. But the university doesn’t ensure 100% placement and hence a good return on investment. Bangalore University placements have an average package of around INR 5 LPA.

There are many better MBA colleges available in Hyderabad, such as NMIMS, Ashoka School of Business, IMT, etc. Hyderabad colleges also offer better placement opportunities due to the locational advantages.

How is the campus life at Bangalore University?

Collegedunia Team
Amrutha P

My overall experience with campus life has been extremely enriching and enjoyable. The campus is lively throughout the year with various cultural and technical events. Our annual cultural fest and technical events are usually held in the middle of the academic year, and they bring together students from different departments, creating a very energetic and social environment. These events give us a great platform to showcase our talents, interact with peers, and build confidence.
