NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placements are not that good this year because of the recession but the average is more than 12lpa. Companies like NVidia, Qualcomm, Intel, and Amazon have visited and hired a lot of students. The current placement percentage is 70%

Placement is quite good in our campus. Around 70-80% of students get placed in the campus. Students get eligible from 7th semester in for placements. Companies which visit here are Reliance, L&T, Wipro, Amazon, Adobe, Maruti, Angloeastern .and many more. Highest package was 1.5 crore in Bloomberg in 2022 passout batch and average package is around 7 lakhs.

The placements are not too great and not too bad. Some good companies come here to recruit students. IT sector placements have excellent placement offers. Core branch companies do not give too big placement offers.

Placements for CSE, and ECE are good. Electrical and Mechanical also have a good placement ratio but the average package is low. The highest package offered is 1 crore in the CSE branch for the software developer role(off-campus).

Placements are mainly offered in the 4th year. Companies start to approach students in the 7th semester. Students get internship offers in 3rd year (by 5th semester). Paytm, Amazon, Infosys, IBM, Qualcomm, and Samsung are major companies which come to campus for placement. But the no of companies coming for placement is not sufficient. The highest package offered is generally above 1 Cr. But the average is somewhere around 7-8 lakh per year. Most of the students in CSE and ECE are placed (MNC is a new branch so data regarding this is unavailable). Placements in other branch are not good.

From the fourth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visited on campus are Microsoft, amazon, cred, Wipro, Infosys, etc. The percentage placements were 96.81% in CSE and 94.90% in ECE. Max CTC was 1.51 Crore.

Till now in November 40% of ECE students are already placed. Placement going well this year. Students got placed in companies like amazon, cred, etc. There are also some new branches introduced last year for which placement stats are still awaited. The highest Package is 54 lakh by cred and the average package is around 14 lakh for CSE and 6-7 lakh overall. I plan to take a placement before my degree is over.

After 6th semester students can sit in placement and avail of Pre-placement offers. Well on campus 200+ companies come with many offers. Well, the highest package is from Cse 1.5 cr. 80% of students can get placed from on-campus placement.

The students are eligible from 3rd year for campus placements and there is no restriction for off-campus placements Faang is only limited to the cs branch. Technical placements are only for cs ee ece and mnc branches not for all branches so off-campus is best. 60% are placed last year in chemical engineering while 78% were in computer science. My plan is to start my own business of electronics and nanomaterials in Rajasthan.

There have been quite a few good campus and off-campus placements in recent times in NIT Hamirpur. Companies with high placement offfers visited in our college of both tech and core fields. Placement percentage is increasing year by year in our college. Of course CSE department has best placement stats.
