Teaching here is top notch , the faculty is highly experienced and there are teaching assisstents too which help us in understanding the concepts really well
Placements of iit mandi are great and more than 400 companies including top companies like amazon, google, microsoft etc.
Good thing is that college provides scholarship for economically backward students .

Dislikes

There is a lack of proper course layout, examination systems and management
Branch change- from 2024 onwards there will be no branch change . i think its bad decision as it was giving opportunities to the students to change their branches if they dont like the course structure .
Faculty: some faculty are very rude to students and grading is relatively tough.

IIT Mandi Campus life and admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite good. The faculties are good and well qualified from the best colleges. The faculty and student ratio is satisfactory. In some of the subjects, we were having mid-semester examination end semester examinations but in some subjects, we were having only mid-semester and some kind of projects and class participation of students.

The college completely stands on the legacy of the IITs as the college offer good placement opportunity and very good placement packages offers. The college placement committee works as the support system and motivates us during the time of the college placement drive. The college has a record of 100% placement with the highest salary offer was 25 LPA and the average salary offer of around 15 LPA. Google, Microsoft, Samsung Bangalore, Adobe, Walmart, Paytm, Amazon, etc are the names of some companies that took in the college placement drive.

The college boasts a 100% placement rate. The college placement committee is extremely dedicated, and they are aware of the students' enthusiasm for the placement push. Our batch's highest placement package was over 35 LPA, with an average package of roughly 15 LPA. Professional opportunities have been great at IIT Mandi. A total of 146 students sat for the placements in the year 2021 and 133 offers were made to the students. Highest CTC offered was around Rs.38 LPA. Companies that visited the campus for the placements were Amazon, Microsoft, Codenation, DE Shaw, Adobe, Sales Force, Google, Microsoft, Samsung Bangalore, Walmart and Paytm.

In a very short period of time, the college has made a very good name for its placement standards. The college not only provides 100% placement but the package offers are also very good. The placement committee of the college plays a very important part in the college placement drive as they are successful in inviting a good number of companies and they help us in every round so that we are placed and receive good offers. when i was geeting a call from the iit mandi, i was very excited to go for the place. realy this place in IIT mandi was very good, also its environment also too good. you dont need to go somewhere like how iit mandi is. the best place i was never seen like any before.

Beautiful Journey of IIT Mandi

Remarks:

Beautiful campus covered by mountain, highly educated and enthusiastic faculty, course curriculum, besides the tag of IIT. The department was well equipped with all the necessary instruments required for the research, being a new campus all the instruments were new and in good working conditions. The place is indeed heaven on earth. The winds at night, the mountains, a drizzly rain sometimes and the river sound makes you forget all the hardships of the day and gives you strength to work harder with more passion the next day.

What is your review of Faculty Of IIT Mandi?

I have gone through the faculty profile given on the official website of IIT Mandi. It looks similar to that of all newly established IITs, except for IIT Gn and IIT H, which are better than the others.

One of my friends is also a student of the Mechanical branch at IIT Mandi. Most of the faculty members in the Mechanical branch are married couples. One of them got a job here and after that, they recommended their spouses.

In terms of research, the branch is not that good. Most of the faculties just mug up a research paper and publish a new one. One of the faculties became associate by doing the same. If you want to pursue higher studies in Mechanical, then don’t choose IIT Mandi.
