Ques. What is the duration of the Ph.D. program in Anthropology at Delhi University?
Ans. The Ph.D. program in Anthropology is typically 3-5 years in duration. The exact duration depends on the nature of research, progress of the candidate, and departmental requirements. Full-time scholars are expected to complete their research and submit their thesis within this timeframe. Ques. Is it mandatory to submit a research proposal at the time of registration?
Ans. Yes, submission of a research proposal is mandatory at the time of registration. The proposal should be approximately 2000 words and must clearly mention the research questions, hypothesis, universe of studies, methodology, and conceptual/theoretical framework. Candidates who fail to submit the research proposal will not be called for the interview, even if they are otherwise eligible. Ans. Ques. What is the admission fee and are there any other charges?
Ans. The registration fee for Ph.D. programs at Delhi University is Rs. 750 for UR/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and Rs. 300 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. This is a non-refundable fee paid at the time of application submission. There are no additional tuition fees charged for Ph.D. programs.
