- There are many scholarships available for the students which can help the students in many ways it help the needy people who cannot afford fees or have better excellence .
- They professor and teachers were friendly and had great knowledge of in their subjects
- The application form, fees and admission dates was pretty available on the website and everything was also provided on the college brochure!
Dislikes
- The condition of the rooms is very bad and it is requires renovation .overall i pay 6000 a month for my hostel room .. mess is 950 which is included in 6000
- Political group are quite active. students are also not getting hostels easily therefore its quite difficult for student from from faraway to survive. attendance policy is also very strict.
- It only provides a fan , a bed , and a almirah which in most cases is faulty .

Placement Experience:
Placements are decent. Most CSE and IT students get placed at 7+ LPA CTC. Highest package is around 20 LPA.
For CSE and IT branches, the median package is around 7 LPA, and average package is slightly higher than that, around 9 - 10 LPA.

- There's no issue of attendance you can have a minimum of 10% attendance after this you can give final exam without any obligation
- The dance and drama club these are the most reputed clubs of our college
- There's no timing for both boys and girls hostel you can hangout with your friends whenever you want no one will raise any issue
Dislikes
- There's no relative marking absolute marking is there so you have to score more to maintain your cgpa
- Mess food is not that good you have to either order it from Zomato or swiggy
- There's too many dogs which can harm you at night so Beawar of them
Placement Experience:
Campus placement is offered and students placed from our college to big tech gaints like Flipkart, policy bazar, ZS, AMEX, Amazon, Credit etc so there's no issue of campus placement the one thing you have to do is to maintain your CGPA nothing else.

- UIET is improvising in terms of placements, if you are worthy enough and have put efforts throughout, you will get placed easily. TPC is very responsible and understanding.
- Oxygen rich water coolers, library and reading halls are very good.
- Experienced Professors and labs like DIC and Telelabs give exposure to vrious industry level projects and interna along with research scholars. Collaborating with PGI and different orgs to provide solutions.
Dislikes
- Food Quality at Stuc and hostels and Canteen are not very good, there is a problem of proper cleanliness.
- UIET’s Campus is very small. 3 blocks and 1 canteen. You don’t get proper seating to have lunch.
- Not everyone gets hostels, you need to be ready to hunt PGs and flats through brokers with high rents.
Placement Experience:
7th semester is the placement season.
Companies visited: Amex, ZS Associates, Stonewain, KPMG, Deloitte, DeltaX, Infosys, Cognizant, Incedo, Caelius Consulting, GreyB, IndiaP2P, uTrade, L&T, Lumenci, ProcDNA, Netmartz Infotech, Unthinkable Solutions
Avg offers made: 5 (Some took 1-2, some took 10, Zs mass recruited 30 students)
Highest Package: 19 lpa by AMEX (Analyst)
Lowest: 4.5 lpa by Infosys (SDE trainee)
75% students getting their placements (expected)

- We got experienced faculty members who actually look out for the students who are facing problem . The professors are well versed , knowledgeable and approachable often encourages students to seek out mentorship
- provide oppurtunaties for social interactions, events , clubs and student organization . Colleges not only focuses on academics but also on extracurricular activities
- we have got a high speed wifi network spanning the whole campus that helps in accessing the internet for study purposes.
Dislikes
- the sheer volume of assignments projects and test are overwhelming but it builds discipline and time management skills that are essential for any career
- waking up early for classes can feel draining especially when one is not a morning person .
- theres always a deadline around the corner making it hard to relax
Placement Experience:
students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester , many reputed companies visit for recruitment including many mnc techgiants startups and consultancy firms. The highets package last year was around 35lacs with the average beingh 10LPA, common prifiles are sde , data analyst . Around 85-90% students gets placed , rest either goes for higher studies or other government jobs

- The college is affordable which makes it pocket friendly.
- As it is a government college so you are less mentally stressed as a student I can admire that we mainly focused on other things like clubs hobbies exploring ourselves and enjoying our college life. We only need to study at last moment of exam.
- Faculties are helpful the help in which step of preparation for competitive exams they are less bother about assignments and marks instead they are more considered about our skill development and physical and mental development.
Dislikes
- As it's in Chandigarh it's too quite which I feel is quite boring.
- The examination pattern never changes the questions keeps repeating after each 5 years which may hamper our study. I think the questions should be more tough student be repeated.
- The teachers and students are less bothered about attendance which results in mass bank for a longer period which hampers the interest of the students who want to attend class regularly and are deeply interested in studies.
Placement Experience:
From 6th semester the student gets started getting offers for placements.
Mahindra Google Microsoft Amazon TCS LNT LinkedIn PTC awesome companies which visits our college.
Number of offers made where 352 for which 500 students applied and 340 got selected.
Number of offers made and selection ratio depends on the branch in which id has the best selection ratio and biotech has the worst selection ratio the average package of the college is 15 lpa and highest is 25 lpa.
My plan is to prepare for government examination after getting the degree.

- The campus is small so it doesn't hurt our legs much and it's quite easy to find lecture halls and classes.
- There are a lot of extra-curricular activities like clubs sports etc and it's really fun in here
- There is a lot of greenery and very pretty campus with a good and affordable canteen as well. The senior here are really helpful too
Dislikes
- There are no AC in the lecture halls but you do get ac from second year that too only for IT and CSE branches.
- It's really hard to get a hostel room in here if you don't have a good rank. There is no 24 hr library in our clg as well if you want that
- There is only one lift in the entire block which is always busy so you are compelled to use the staircase. The hostel facility is really bad in here
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible only after the 8th sem and placements are quite decent looking at the college the highest placement here was around 25 lpa on campus and 42 lpa off campus. Many good companies visit our college as well

Placement Experience:
Placements are really good, if you score an average cgpa pf 7.5 , you can get a pretty good Placement, students become eligible for sitting in the placements in 3rd year, many major companies come to this college, but personally i might go for masters degree after this

- Campus Life is good but campus is too small.

- There is no too much coding atmosphere in our college and placement are also not good enough
Course Curriculum Overview:
Based on the branch, our course is well structured but there are some subjects which are irrelevant and not required for IT domain. Overall course structure is well defined in terms of our curriculum. Some subjects in IT is different from cse

- Panjab University campus is well maintained and big
- We can attend all the fests as UIET student.
- There is no home state reservation and this quality of students is good
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is old of UIET but it's decently maintained.
- Classroom are also old without AC and smart board facilities
- College is quite far from hostel and there is a hostel shortage.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is old and isn't industrial ready and thus students are also not industrial ready.
I chose Electronics and communications cause Centra government is now focusing on semiconductor industries. And thus i choose ECE

- Club cultures, there are many co curricular clubs in both tech and non tech fields which have helped me in my overall development.
- The not so strict attendance policy. We have a 60% attendance required criterion and many profs are somewhat lenient with attendance
- Its location l. Being located in the south campus of university it is away fron the hustle and bustle and still connected to uni
Dislikes
- The students and their behaviours. I wontbsay its quality crowd
- The washrooms and the overall hygieni is highly neglected
- The teachers are a bit stubborn in some areas which makes if a bad experience
Placement Experience:
Placement start in 7th sem. Students do not jave placements record but companies like ibm, tcs, amazon, deloitte, cisco come for non core and tat mahindra kpmg gemini etc come for the core branches. The highest on campus package is of amex which is afound 14lpa. By the end of placement drives almost all students are placed. My plans after uni are not decided
