- The faculty members of our department are very helpful and all are experienced teachers and their teaching methods are also good.
- The campus of the university is very beautiful and calm.
- Hostel facilities are also very good, the hostel infrastructures are very good and the hygiene is also well maintained in the hostels .
Dislikes
- The over stress because of the exam pattern
- Even though the university excells in academic excellence but the pressure is too much high. More extra curricular activities may nitiated.
- Not much funded nternships are provided by the University or departments.

- The campus is very beautiful especially in winter. You will love roaming around the campus with your friends.
- Academic pressure is lesser than other NITs or IITs obviously. You will get enough free time to Sharpe your skills.

- Some professors are very bad, they don't know how to teach and just care about your attendance.
- Placements are not up to the mark, most students do not get a well paid job.
- In first year you will face difficulties staying in any hostel (For boys)

From the seventh semester students become eligible for placements. Some students get placed with some decent package but most of them do not get any placement or get very low package like 3 lpa. I am thinking about doing mtech from a good university to get a job at least.

- The aspects of the college that we appreciate and those we felt needed improvement is basically no need for my purpose

- Lecture hall is built very good and had many classroom. Classroom are very big and had AC, projector
Dislikes
- Very hot temperature in the college ac is also not available in classrooms
Placement Experience:
College placement is not much as per expectation but half of the students who tried they have placed in several companies many recruiters are BEL, OIL, NRL, L&T, ALSTOM, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, AKASH, GULF....etc.

- The area of the campus is big. There is a lot of greenery in the campus. The campus is very well arranged in 260 acres. The security staff is very good. There is a lack of shopping malls and everything else in the campus.
- The average package here is around 6-7 lakhs. The package is a little less but the growth is quite good
- The teachers are very good. The classes are proper. The teachers are very friendly.
Dislikes
- The average package is very low. Percentage placed is very low
- The lab teacher is very strict. The rules are very strict
- There is a lot of sunshine in the campus. Veg food is not very good.
Placement Experience:
To be honest placement here can be a little disappointing however it is getting better days by days. The major hindrance is the location factor but th Tnp cell work very hard to bring companies and to provide students with equal opportunity. CSE has an average placement followed by ECE . In core branch most of the people go for exam like GATE, ESE or State PSUs exam or any higher study however some people also get placed on campus in PSI like olu , electricity boards and all

- 4 exams in per semester which are important for grades
- Administration's less support in co curricular activities
Placement Experience:
There is campus placement system for all the schools
For our humanities there are not so much placement opportunities but for our course (B. Ed) there is placement every year for all the students.
The placement for management sciences is very good 100% placement every year

- Campus area of this college is very beautiful, this college has 250+ acres lush green campus.
- Infrastructure of college is very good it can even good from some nits/iits
- Every kind of sports facility is available here from swimming pool to lawn tennis court.

- Food quality is the matter of concern for people came across different states

What is your review of Tezpur University?

One of my friends attended Tezpur University. His experience with the university has not been good. Here are some of the things that she shared with me.
- The administration there is headed by only one person and the VC is not cooperative.
- You will get in trouble if any of your batch mates get involved in any misbehavior.
- Attending classes there is very important and otherwise, you may not be allowed to do your internships.
- The library is inadequate. The wifi facility on campus is also not that good.
- The placement record of the institute is average. The average CTC offered at the recent placement drive was 3.5 LPA.
So, if you have other better options go for it.

What is your review of mechanical engineering department, Tezpur University?

One of my friends studied Mechanical at Tezpur University. Let me share his experiences and knowledge about the college. He, being a student there, will know the intricacies of the college and how they function.
- Faculty: The mechanical department hosts a really good faculty. Most of them are good at teaching and all of them have a great research-oriented mindset.
- Projects: About 80% of the projects are based on numerical simulations. These include optimization, analysis, modeling, developing CFD solvers, Comsol modeling and the rest are mainly experimental.
- Specialization: The department mainly started its M.Tech course in 2013 with a specialization in Applied mechanics. The Thermal and Fluid Engineering specialization began in 2016 and from 2018 onwards, another specialization in Machine Design was also started. The department is definitely growing with time.

Overall, the mechanical department at Tezpur University is not as good as IITs but it is much better than many private as well as newly built NITs in the country.
