- Faculty are well experienced, supportive and highly knowledgeable
- Affordability of the course and the city
Dislikes
- Placement support ( They ask extra money for the placement services)
- The lecture structure ( 2 lectures per week, one in class and other online)
- Hoped for more practical experiences while learning.
- I used a platform called university living to find accommodation.
- Monthly rate was around 490GBP which included all the bills which included Wifi, water, electricity. Rooms were fully furnished and with proper equipped kitchen.
- Living in that accommodation was one of my best time, I surely recommend it other students to try for student accommodations and choose an En-Suite room.
- My accommodation was 3-4 walk from my university.

- All time access to library which helped in preparing for focussing on studies.
- The various cultural societies helped to nurture liking for far east culture like Korean society, Japanese society which celebrated their traditional events to much fanfare thus incorporating world class inclusivity.
- The university gym access was very helpful as it helped to learn new sport and keep fit.
Dislikes
- Limited face to face sessions during Covid time.
- Limited knowledge of university counsellors to International student job needs
- Limited staff availability on weekends.
- Although online platforms were there, they charged exorbitant prices. I had a family member who was abroad and had some knowledge of the house rates so it helped to get a reasonable accommodation near to university premises.
- Some challenges initially faced were that most of the housemates were international students from other countries so it took some time to get familiar.

- Dedicated teams for student support, careers team, well being team ,academic registry, propellor (for aspiring entrepreuners)and a seperate students union which play a major role in overall growth
- Library has a wide range of resources both online and offline. The library is open 24x7 except during Christmas. They were instances when I needed a book , it was not available in the library and the librarian purchased it on behalf of the university
- UCLan has a huge campus and excellent infrastructre, the university has many building for different branches. The best building is student center which gives co working space vibes. Do google it and you will understand what I am talking about :)
Dislikes
- More number of international students and less home students
- Its not busy like big cities, but that makes the cost of living affordable
- They accept more students for each course

- Diversity , equality and inclusivity.
- Campus - especially the all new student centre.
- Faculties - UCLan has got an amazing friendly faculties, they understands and supports the need of each and every student.
Dislikes
- Lecture timings - some days there used to be multiple lectures and some ends at around 8pm (6-8pm slot).
- Placement support for international students.
- Lack of communication about Mitigating circumstances (MC) and Change of circumstances process especially to international students
- I managed to find accommodation on Openrent.co.uk There are a set of websites that can help in finding suitable accommodation, such as Spareroom, Rightmove, and Facebook marketplace.
- The main challenge I faced was to find a local guarantor for the accommodation, most of the landlords prefer to give rooms to those students who have a local guarantor or to someone who can give a reference and take the responsibility of the student.

- Some professors went above and beyond to provide exceptional support and guidance.
- The professional placement program offered invaluable practical experience and international exposure.
- The campus facilities, safety measures and supportive student services enhanced the overall experience.
Dislikes
- Certain courses focused more on theory rather than practical application.
- During my tenure, the post study visa option was unavailable which limited career opportunities.
- Some processes or systems could have been more streamlined for international students.
- Some of the students had good connections, so they tied up with the sponsorship providers for the working opportunity, but for half of the class, it was really difficult to get one.
- There were many reasons; students used to get rejected, and they used to think that it was a kind of discrimination, but actually, it was a lack of experience and resume formatting errors as per the desired role. Language and accent were the barriers for some.
- The lowest salary was the minimum wage, and the highest was 14000 to 18000 GBP annually. Only 40% of the class secured a full-time opportunity, and hence, for some of them, it was very difficult to complete the module on professional placement reflection.
- Later on, for those who could not get the job, the professional placement was changed to complete some mandatory theoretical additional module as part of the credit system completion.

- Mainly because they mentioned that they will provide internships. And also comparatively the tuition fee was less
I had a great experience. Initially it was hard to pick up all alone. I landed in UK at my 20 age so it was so hard for a immature little girl. But I was blessed with few good people. And they helped me throughout the year. Eventually I stood up by myself. And I'm so proud of myself. Now I'm currently working as BDM at Infopark, Kochi. May be I would say it's all happening because I had tough and great time in UK. About University as said before it's so amazing than Kerala colleges.
My fate bad that’s why I chosen this university. Consultancy people told as this is the best university for international students but the complete university have Indian students in all core engineering and management courses
