Technical events are organised frequently at our college. There are robotics workshop, C/C++ language workshops, embedded system workshops, technical quiz, innovation day celebration etc. Cultural fest of our college is named "Gyanjyoti". It is a very awesome and big event. It is organised in March every year and nearby colleges are invited to participate in this fest. All types of activities are organised in this event. Dance competition, music competition, project competition, bike race etc.
Placements are ok. Some good companies like TCS, NTT data, IGATE, Blue star and other small companies come for placement. TCS provides 3. 37 LPA and recruits students from all branches but maximum students are selected from Computer Science, Information Technology & Electronics and communication branches. NTT data is providing 3LPA and for CS, IT & EC students only. Blue star came last year for recruitment and offered 4. 7 LPA package but it recruited only mechanical branch students.
The institute has various student societies run by the students of various departments to carry out activities that are most essentuial for the development of the individual. The societies active in the institute are :KRITI - The Creative Vision (CSE )Electrical Engineering Society
Course curriculum is very good, The courses of study are organized on semester programs and each semester provides for a minimum of ninety instructional days. The medium of instruction is English. Students are evaluated on a continuous basis throughout the semester.
Frankly, the best thing at BITS Pilani was no attendance because is amazing as it helps you to do what you like. Like a lot others I did not take a lot of interest in the course though I must say the faculty also didnot take a lot of interest in teaching the course or making it better for us. As far as the curriculum is designed, at BITS, for the first two years its a general course with even a course like Management principles, Psychology being compulsory for us. Third year is Completely IT course, and 4th year divided into 1 sem Internship which I got at BSchool INSEAD, getting paid 1500 Euros a month and 2nd sem was 6 electives which range from IT, Finance, Management and even Film Making. So I took interesting courses like Film Making, Stock Markets making my experience decent.
Campus life is lovely. I can proudly say its one of the most culturally rich campuses in India with big diversity. To be honest its the only college in North India with the very significant South Indian Population. Labs are well equipped specially the Electronics ones and Bio ones. A lot of cultural Associations have their cultural night, food tasting nights. Debates and these competitions happen during the technical festivals. Robotics is also big and it has produced India's biggest Robotics company Grey Orange Robotics.
Entrance exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, UPTU, secured good rank, wanted to go ahead with Civil Engineering (for UG) and then Environment but since UG was available in Environment, I picked Environmental Engineering. There were some good colleges in list but the course seems good with HCST so I picked this college
Course curriculum at initial stage was not that good, but with feedback from students, college made good amount of changes so as to make the course happening. Faculty at my time was mostly fresh or had less than 5 yrs exp (40% of faculty). Now with good demand, some good faculties are being called for visiting classes
I took Pre-Entrance Test and scored 78 marks. It was just the above average score. I chose this course because I always wanted to do this. The only choice that I had to made was between the colleges I would like to take admission in. And I chose HCET over the other because it has a great infrastructure and campus oppurtunities.
The gender ratio is of 60/40 (60% boys) and to be frank if you want to enjoy the real college life experience in Jabalpur, this is the place to be. It is very diverse, good mentality and a great society. Time to time different workshops are held in my college and all loads of student participate in those events.
Campus of my university is about 250 acres. Gender ratio is about 1:1. There is very big labs of all departments like physics, chemistry, neuroscience ect.
In my university one of the biggest problem is politics. The management of our university is very bad. There is no parmanent faculties.
Campus life is ok. Gender ratio depends on the branch. In mechnical and EEE there were very few girls. Not so good in extracurricular activities. Otherwise overall ratio is good. Labs are well maintaned including IT,EEE labs and also mechanical workshops was one of the interesting part during my course.
Fresher party which used to be batch wise. So 2nd year used to give the party to first year and it is celebrated after one month of beginning of session. Hostel Night it was conducted for boys and girls hostel separately. Annual Fest inter college fest a few performances by students of the college.
Simply Amazing faculty. Learnt alot from them. They are not only supportive in regular course but also supports in live projects. To be Specific about research Dr.Vikram Sharma always takes initiatives for better and detailed research project submissions. Faculties are sometimes not interested to teach the course but overall they are good.
Internship Opportunities were better than placements. I did internship with EY with a stipend of 10000 a month. And usually stipends were good. 80% of students got placed. Out of which many were not eligible because of low CGPA. Main Companies were KPMG,Delloitte,TCS,Newgen and etc.

Campus is beauty will lots of fields and facilities for cricket, football, hockey, basket ball etc. WiFy is available anywhere in Campus. labs are equiped with latest euipment and instruments. Gender ration is 30: 70 of girls to boys. Student from all communities and states are accomodated here. Foreign students from spain, russia etc are also presnt here.
The courses will inspire you think beyond bookish knowledge and the curriculam will definitely help you on research any body wants to carry out. courses are :1. CAD for RF. 2. Active devices. 3. Antenna Theory. 4. Digital Communication . 5. DSP. 6. Fabrication technique of Semiconductor devices. 7. MEMS. 10. RF Measurement. 11. Tansducers.

It was pretty much standard, as per B. E. E&C they covered all the theory subject and all the practical sessions. First year was common among all the branches next year onward it was specialization in E&C.
PET - Pre Engineering test. PET which students has to appear after there 12th exam. And based on PET merit list students are invited for counseling, where they can select college from all over M. P.
In IET, placements was the only weak area. And I have heard that it is almost the same till now. The students are good and the faculty is very well qualified. The college has successfully maintained a good culture and discipline. However, they could not establish a good placement cell and could not provide enough/ good placements. Only a few call center companies came to the campus. One software company also visited but they have limited seats as they already recruited most of the students from IIT and HBTI.
It was very good. We had 8 semesters and weekly quiz was organized. Practical examinations were very well placed in between written examinations. Very tough marking system was in place to maintain the quality and there was no scope to cheat in the examina
College Management is very transparent. It is very keen to each of the student. It is always ready help the students to solve any kind of problems. My best memory on our management is once we organized a cricket match of students vs teachers. Some managem
Labs are the best. All the latest machines are available here. College campus area is 33 a core. There is one football ground, one cricket ground, basketball and tennis courts. A canteen and a cafeteria also present within campus.
Our batch has a gender ratio of 2:1 approximately and bba, btech, bcom, mcom, msc, bsc physics, ma-english, ba are the common background, students witheven 6years of work experience are present, but mostly btech and bcom fresh graduates make up the lion's share of the batchweekly seminar with industry stalwarts, inter departmental sports, table tennis, gymnasium, intra college management fest etc are integral part og the extra curricular activities
Huge and unparalleled alumni base cause we are the oldest b school of the country. PARADIGM-annual event night where all alumnus are invited to meet with the new students and share experiences. As mentioned before PARADIGM is an annual event where our esteemed alumnus come to interact with us GURU SHEKTRA-where they come to guide us on to what the present scenario is and what specializations are in demand
By atmosphere I mean the kind of air that flows in college. It again depends in dept. Depts like mechanical have this atmosphere of building things because of events like TECHno MAZA, Abhikalpan. Worst atmosphere is in dept of Computer Engg where there is total ignorance and lack of programming knowledge. Almost no participation in coding contests. Final year projects aren't very impressive either
Regular mid-sem tests (2 tests per subject per semester) and assignments, they do count in overall evaluation and are assigned weightages. If taken seriously they do help a lot for preparing of the end - sem exam. The syllabus is just what is required in
Course curriculum is very good, scope of improvement is always there. The only thing is required more job placement. course curriculum is very good, scope of improvement is always there. The only thing is required more job placement.
Combined exam for MCA in Uttar Pradesh. This is only exam in UP for MCA Admissions. Combined exam for MCA in Uttar Pradesh. This is only exam in UP for MCA Admissions.
Course was as per Rajive Gandhi Prodhyogiki Vishvavidhyalaya, Guidelines, and best at all engineering state courses, all semester course is up to the mark, but Practical is not much as in Engineering courses should be.
Faculty is very Good, All the Lecturers are well educated, All HOD are having good experience. they are best in their field. the way the taught us was very good, But Some faculty members are just doing time pass.
The exam fee was very low if we compared to other colleges of MP as it is an Autonomous college. The fee per year was around 54000 which reduces as we proceed in years. Exam fee was also reasonable. The college fee was structured and as per the MP government policies. Students got scholarship from Govt of MP in the college who were talented and and secured top ranks in exams. Its fee was not having any hidden clauses and students were able to submit that in even instalments and were allowed to take bank loans for studies with the most simplest procedures.
I had seen and participated in lots of events at national, state and district level and secured ranks. My Team participated in BAJA race at Pithampur and secured 2 rank at National level. I also participated in Robotics, Techies, Engineer without border etc and won prizes. Also participated in cultural fest of college in every year. Aakshank was celebrated every year for one week and there were lots of activities to paticipate. and were very interesting and informative.
They were good like as they have to be, because it was the only thing that were happening to us. As labs were only about getting the work done. Because faculties does'nt know about lab subject itself and sports were only in the magazine and competitions are made only to make our college best. Because there is always cheating. Our college always win the 1st prize. In the robotics there was a automatic moving van was made in 2001 after this there was none of single good project was approved. Yet after passing out students are booming themselves in big mnc at their own performance.
Placement and job opportunities were just a drama for the college to the students. There was some companies but all were startups and there was no any branded company. I was placed in a company through college which was PC Solutions and the package was 1. 8LPA now there was some points that were ignored when drive was carried out. 1 two years of bond, night shift, and carry your own device.
The placements are excellent in the college ( almost 100%). However, once selected in any company, one cannot go for other companies unless its a dream company(which included 2-3 companies). Adobe also comes for recruitment and recruit students with a very good offers however they elect less than 10 students. Placements are good for CSE, IT and Mechanical branches as they get core companies but students from E&TC and E&I have to join some IT industry as they do not get enough core companies.
Number of boys are more as compared to number of girls. The students are mostly from MP, some students are also from UP, Bihar who get admission using AIEEE score. Once in a year intra-college sports competetion is organized. Also you can get chance to play in University team. The lab sessions are not so productive, we don't get much to learn from lab sessions as the lab assignment are not good enough.
The three flagship events are INSIGHT - Annual Corporate Panel discussion PARADIGM - The Annual Alumni meet MANAGEREAL - The Inter B- School Fest All the events are done on a large scale with turnout of more than 300 students
The Campus life is awesome with indoor sporting facility and gym. There is Analytic's class and foreign language classes for the student to give them extra mileage
