Remarks

Overall the college is good. Curriculum is good and the faculty is good. Labs are OK and workshop is good. But the support from management is not very good.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for the autonomous exam conducted by CSJM University. I secured 144 rank in the exam and got a government sponsored seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum was equally good as it is in IIT or HBTI (UPTU University). We had a good workshop and good faculty. However chemical lab was not well equipped. Computer lab also required better computers.

Internships Opportunities

Internship support was poor. No stipend or special support was provided for internship. I found a chemical company from my own sources but they did not offer any stipend.

Placement Experience

0.5

In IET, placements was the only weak area. And I have heard that it is almost the same till now. The students are good and the faculty is very well qualified. The college has successfully maintained a good culture and discipline. However, they could not establish a good placement cell and could not provide enough/ good placements. Only a few call center companies came to the campus. One software company also visited but they have limited seats as they already recruited most of the students from IIT and HBTI.

College Events

3.5

In terms of events college was good. Fresher party, annual function, technical festival were celebrated in the college. Everything was solely managed by the students. No special contribution from faculty of management on the event celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was great! Government supported seats costed Rs. 12, 000 in a year and in total Rs. 48, 000 for the entire 4 year program. Paid seats were also cheaper in comparison to private colleges. A paid seat costed Rs. 50, 000 in year at that time.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, since the fees was less there was no such requirement. I know some of the students who opted for a paid seat, they took a personal loan. There was no such arrangement from college.

Campus Life

4.5

There were good labs. There was a badminton court and a sports ground as well. Students in collaboration with the teachers used to organize technical festival. There was no special support from college management on any of these fronts.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

In 2001 to 2005 there was no hostel for boys. There were several private hostels in the vicinity and most of the students used to stay in these private hostels. Since all accommodates were students from the same college a good environment was maintained i

Alumni/Alumna

Yes there is a alumni network. Every year an alumni meet is organized by the students and alumni counsel. This is one of the good support system which is helping in improving college placements.

Exam Structure

It was very good. We had 8 semesters and weekly quiz was organized. Practical examinations were very well placed in between written examinations. Very tough marking system was in place to maintain the quality and there was no scope to cheat in the examina

Faculty

4

Almost 60% of the faculty was very good and were highly qualified. Almost 20% of the faculty were retired professors from IIT (mostly IIT Kanpur). Overall except few teachers who were not permanent faculty, I am satisfied with the faculty.

Students here become eligible for placements of they have no backs. The ones with backs don't stand eligible and that's a serious rule of our university. Finally placements of our batch are still on and hopefully it will reach 80% mark our of the eligible students. Highest this year has been 24 LPA.

Placement Experience:

I definitely won't study more as I feel our university have already made us ready to work. So over a 100 organisation which makes way to Integral University every year, will be here this year too and hopefully next year as well as I will be getting my opportunities then. Currently it's 6-7 LPA average with some students making a mark after getting over 50 LPA packages too from Integral University.

With the tag of Jaypee Group one can expect infrastructure to be the best and yes our university do have the best infrastructure. Possibly not the biggest but because we have our extended campus too at sector 128 so combining both it's over 20 acres. We have all the facilities of international standard and since I have finished almost all four years here, I can say I have lived a dream life at JIIT Noida.
