Remarks

Though our college infrastructure is really bad, the amount of knowledge and experiences you gain throughout the 4 years, helps to develop oneself. I would definitely rank this college in the top 5 best colleges in Karnataka. Also our placements are comparable to any of the top colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

For my batch, we had BU 2k11 scheme. We had 8 subjects in all semesters till now. Each subject had 2 internals of 25 marks each, the average of 2 was take. The final exam we wrote was for 100 marks. Overall our percentage was calculated out of 1000, each subject carrying 125 marks(100 marks final + 25 marks internals). Now the scheme followed is CBCS, 50% weight-age for both internals and final exams each.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are amazing in our college, one year we touched 100% placements too. Now it has come down a bit, but every branch has a minimum of 50% placed candidates. Least being mechanical 50%, rest are all above 65% and the highest being CSE that is 82%. Our college has a strict policy towards internships. Internships are usually done in 4th year. And our college allows a maximum of 3 days of internships. SO if you are planning on doing an internship it must be done in holidays or you need to somehow manage both academics and internship. The stipend ranges from 15k -35k per month.

College Events

5

We have a total of 4 fests in our college and 1 paper/poster/project presentation and also one hackathon. The 4 fests include 2 technical and 2 cultural. 1 technical and cultural in each semester. The 2 technical fests are INSPIRON and IMPETUS. The 2 cultural fests are MILAGRO and FIESTA. The paper/poster/project presentation is KAGADA and the hackathon is called CODEFURY. Throughout the year there are a lot of events conducted by an organisation called IEEE UVCE, which conducts nearly 60+ events throughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is one of the best part of the college. It was very less compared to any other college in Karnataka. I think the KCET fees we pay is around 18k and the college fees is around 8k. So overall we pay around 26k.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a lot of good scholarships are available. But most of these scholarships are available for all castes except GM. There is just one scholarship for GM and if you did not apply for it in the first semester, there is no way you can get it.

Campus Life

1.5

In sports, the most renowned in our college is cricket and football. We have a football court, which is amazing. We have a team for both. Labs are of slightly below average for all branches except for CSE/ISE(new equipment's have been bought for them). Extra curricular activities would be taking part in various events held by IEEE UVCE. Most of the events held in the college is conducted by IEEE UVCE - talks, workshops, hackathons, fest, etc

Hostel Facilities

2

No, I haven't opted for hostel. But if you are a pampered child, this hostel isn't suitable for you. Almost 4-5 people are made to stay in a confined room and it is very congested. It will get renovated soon though.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is really strong, most of the good works going on in college, all is because of our beloved alumni. Senior students are really helpful and they guide their juniors in the right direction, to make a right decision when it comes to education or placements or anything in general.

Admission

I got 887 rank in KCET. We were asked to go to the CET cell first and then verify all my documents, that must have attestation. Then I waited for all 3 rounds, in all the 3 rounds i got UVCE. We had to come down to the college and then we were supposed to buy a file, based on department, and then we were asked to bring a DD and pay the fees, and they would gives us acknowledgement document. The fee payment now is made online now though.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty members are very less compared to any other private college. Permanent members are less, we have a lot of contract based teachers though. Specific teachers teach very well, others are average.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
