An excellent experience of studies

Our college, Government SKSJT Institute, is one of the oldest engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. It has also celebratedo it's silver jubilee anniversary recently. It's a very good college with no ragging and no donations.

My branch was Electronics and Communication Engineering. It was an excellent course with good teaching in my college. The exam structure is defined by the Visvesvaraya Technological University. It consists of the digital paper evaluation scheme.

The job opportunities in our college is good. It has a very good placement track record in the branch of textile engineering and also in the branch of silk technology. There is no internship opportunity provided by our college.

The events celebrated in our college are Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Republic Day, Ganesh a Festival, College Fest, College Annual Day, NSS Programmes, Blood camps, All branch fests, Send off functions and Graduation Day.

The fee structure is defined by the Government of Karnataka. It is a very feasible fee structure. The college fee is of 15000 to 16000 Rupees. It also has a tuition fees of 3000 Rupees. There is no threats of paying the donations in our college.

Our college is maintained by the Government of Karnataka. It provides a good rate of scholarship to the economically weaker section students. It verifies the salary certificate of the parents of those weaker section students and then grants the scholarship to those students.

The extra curricular activities and sports include the singing, dancing, group song, group dance, rangoli, cooking without fire, dumbsherads, pick and speak, quiz, treasure hunt, gully cricket, long cricket, leg cricket, tennis, badminton, football, volleyball , etc. The labs are fully equipped.

The alumni is of almost 75 years old of our college. The senior students of our alumni are so helpful in giving their guidance for ther junior students of our college in their studies. They also help in the placement assistance at the final year of engineering.

Initially I had written the Karnataka Common Entrance Testing for professional courses. I got a good ranking and then according to my rank in got the Engineering seat in Govt. SKSJT Institute, which is one of the oldest engineering colleges of the state of Karnataka.

The faculty members of our college are well knowledged and they are also kind enough in helping out the students with their studies and other curriculum activities. They also encourage the students to participate in all the competitions to excel with their talents.
