Remarks

My college is one of the best government college in the state as it provides good infrastructure, good faculty and many more. The only negative is that the institute should work on the placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The quality of education is really good. The professors are highly educated and mostly PhD holders. The topics in the curriculum are close to reality which helps us in the real world. When it comes to placements, we have seperate placement cell and placement officer who guides us thourough the placement procedure and preparation.

Placement Experience

2.5

The faculties help with providing the internship program thourough different companies. Sadly we don't have placements in our institute as of now. The only reason is the government college. But definitely the students in this organisation has potential and talent to clear the interview if we had opportunities.

College Events

4

We celebrated many events including social events like republic day, independence day, environmental day etc. We have Red cross and National service scheme which is a part of MhourD. We organise camps and awareness programs in the rural and urban areas. We have our own festivals like ethnic day and our college fest called satvam.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is cheap since it is a government college around 18000 per year. The fees needs to be paid via challan deposited in the account of college. There are no additional fees asked by the management which is a good thing. The only additional money we have to pay is the exam fees which is again thourough deposit.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not opt for scholarship since there was not necessity because the fees is less. But then there are many scheme from both central and state government which provide scholarship based on the category of the student.

Campus Life

4

The campus is good and very big. The college is situated at the heart of Bangalore near Vidhan soudha. We have all the necessary infrastructure such as well equipped lab, sports center, science lab, innovation lab. We have personal training sessions to boost the self confidence of oneself.

Hostel Facilities

4

No. I used to travel from home since Bangalore is my birth place. Many people who came from different parts of the state had opted for hostel. The hostel infrastructure is good but not the best. Each room in the hostel accommodated 3 students. Each room had furniture, study table etc. Since it's a government organisation can't complain much.

Alumni/Alumna

We have Alumni network which consists of good people and our seniors working for the benifit of college and the students. They provide the maximum help in the favour of the students.

Admission

I always wanted to join a government college as the quality of education in government is increased steeply over the years and the cost of education is less. The admission to my institution is thourough common entrance test(kcet) which will be conducted in the month of March/april. Based on the merit you get the colleges in the counseling. The college starts in the month of August. There are 4 courses offered in my college. Computer science is always my passion.

Faculty

5

There are nealy 14 lecturers in computer science. All are well qualified and most of them are PhD holders with enormous knowledge and experience. All are above 30years of age. The lecturers in our institute are always available to clarify any doubts we thourough at them.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
