Remarks

IIM, Kashipur stood up to mark with the standard of older IIMs in terms of academics and the placement offered. The B-School transformed my life and the way I approach a problem. Institute is a perfect amalgamation of the academics and extracurricular activities leading to an overall development of the student. I would definitely recommend IIMK among other top B-Schools simply for the campus life and some particular faculty members.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Structure is pretty awesome and it was pretty updated as per the latest advancements in the corporate world, specifically the future of tech industry and different job profiles being adopted by corporates to tackle the rapidly changing corporate landscape. The exams were evaluated on the CGPA

Placement Experience

Final placement of my batch was comparatively better for my batch. A good number of reputed companies visited specifically for the analytics area. The highest package offered was 28.5 LPA and the average package was around 12.5 LPA. Summer placement for the internship process is also good with a decent stipend amount.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Annual fee for my PGP program was around 5.3 lacs per annum, which is comparatively less than other IIMs and to be honest, it was one of the reasons why opted for this IIM, despite having a good percentile.

Campus Life

IIM Kashipur has all the required facilities. We have state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with Wi-Fi, projectors, etc., facilities. We have 11 Bloomberg terminals. We have one central mess, and the quality of food is good because the mess is operated by the students only.

Hostel Facilities

Especially, the hostel is awesome. I think our college has the best hostel among all IIMs. Hostel rooms were offered on single occupancy basis and we never had any issues regarding the accommodation.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Admission

Admission is on the basis of CAT exam scores. IIM Kashipur takes part in the common admission process (CAP), which is a joint counselling held mostly for the new IIMs. This round of selection process included a written ability test and a Personal Interview.

Faculty

Faculty members are good, especially for the finance and operation area. Every concept is taught based on case studies. It's mandatory for professors of every subject to invite industry experts so that we can relate theoretical concepts to the practical scenarios. In that way, we get industry exposure.

Placement Experience:

In digital marketing nearly 90% it the students are placed in top startup companies like the Boat, Minimalist and all who needs digital presence to sell their products. Jobs offered are of 50-80k a month and for MBA freshers this is a kind package.

Campus life

Placement Experience:

For masters student student from 3rd semester are eligible for the campus placement. For bachelor students from 6-7 semester students are eligible for the campus placement. Federal bank, taj hotel, Techmutant software solutions, cradlewise, patanjali, etc. many more companies are there which visit the campus. There is 60-70% criteria for students to get the placement as 60% are the eligibility criteria for many companies and some companies have 70% eligibility criteria for the placement. Our university has 85% placement in dehradun region as compared to other universities. My plans are taking a good job and work hard to become independent.

Insights of the college through student eye

Placement Experience:

At the end of end semesters college started to get internship and their are a number of them of every type. Students should choose it of any kind. For placement companies started to come in collage in 3rd semesters and one should apply for placement. Till now many companies were there including 99acers, Arvind fasion, Wipro, Google and so on.

The placements start in the second year. Students are expected to have a descent academic record to get placement. The IIM of the North

I found the admission process easier (Level Medium on Difficulty scale). The process started with the CAT application form, then the CAT exam, followed by a call letter for an Interview and then the selection email.
