Remarks

The college campus is the best thing to be experienced. The infrastructure is world class with more than 10 departments (engineering, pharmacy, hotel management, business school etc.) in one huge campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Course Curriculum is well structured. All the subjects in Computer Science stream and covered and given equal importance. Monthly sessional exams (which are made tough) are held to keep a proper check on students' learnings. And semester exams are held by the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

Placement Experience

4.5

The campus placements are held each year for the final year students. In 2016, more than 600 companies were invited for the recruitment across all the departments. The college provides world class training for the placements and the teachers help students prepare really well for the interviews and tests.

College Events

4

The college, being one of the largest in the city with over 20,000 students across tens of departments, holds a number of cultural, promotional, educational or sports events throughout the year. Each department holds its cultural event every year. Apart from these, the annual event "Parivartan" is a 2-day event with a number of activities, cultural shows, celebrity nights being organised throughout the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is pretty much moderate. The tuition, fees and accommodation (hostel) fees are feasible and appropriate. This private college comes under the state government's Punjab Technical University, due to which, the fees and charges are regulated properly.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has scholarships for the minority communities, for SC/ST/OBCs and for the Kashmiri migrants. The college has tie ups with State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank for student loans, which are easy to avail.

Campus Life

4.5

The college hosts a number of extracurricular activities throughout the year. These activities include technical competitions like coding, testing or those in robotics and mechanical engineering. Other than those, the college hosts TEDx events, debates, writing competitions, art fests, group discussions, guest speeches etc. which keep the students creative and innovative.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are kept maintained with daily cleaning of the corridors and washrooms and weekly cleaning to the rooms. The hostel staff and the wardens keep a check on the activities taking place all around the hostel area. Water and electricity supply was apt with rare interruptions.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni association of the college is very strong. Every year, all the ex-students are invited by the college for various events/functions. The seniors are always helpful in academics, project preparation or during accommodation. The college campus is 100% Ragging Free and the seniors take care of this thing very seriously.

Admission

I got admitted in this college on the basis of bith, the entrance exam (JEE Mains) and my 12th percentage. The admission process was smooth and I just had to pay a visit to the admin cell with all my certificates.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college is well qualified and experienced. Teachers are always available to help the students in academics, projects and assignments. They keep on reviewing individual child's performance from time to time and help the weak ones.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??
