Course Curriculum Overview

5

Economics have seen female students in more numbers and even I checked that. So, once I checked that I made it clear that this is how our course will be and the kind of things which I will be learning gave me a clear picture of it. I was from commerce background but economics was my favourite subject as accountancy flew over my head.

Internships Opportunities

5

Sharekhan, Barclays Capital and Normura were some which came last year and offered financial analyst roles. Stipend as good as 40-45k was provided and nearly 20 odd students along with me mad the cut here. So I am glad it happened because that was the best teaching I got.

Placement Experience

5

DTU Economics students last year were placed in financial companies as research analyst. I also love that role and hoping to get that in the final round of placements for which I am getting ready as they will begin shortly.

Fees and Financial Aid

DTU BAE is much better than most and it's a proven gas as placements wise we are far better than even LSR. So ya reports may suggest otherwise that our fees is high and all as it is a average of 1.05 lakhs because it kept increasing by some thousands every year. Scholarships are there as DTU is a central university and therefore all central schemes for scholarships are available here.

Campus Life

5

Campus doesn't ooze class or gives a wow feel but it is very decent. Our building though can give both the factors because our building has all such facilities which a top private university provides. Air-conditioned classrooms, library and auditorium. A basketball court and a very spacious and warm cafeteria.

Admission

I applied at some colleges of Delhi and after my CUET scores were out, I applied to DTU through its portal, it took me around a week or so long wait because I made it in the second list. In all only 3-4 lists is what DTU releases every year as by then most admissions are done becaus Economics Hons just have 180 seats in total.

Faculty

5

DTU has a very strict policy and USME being a part of it follows that with all heart. No favouritism or any such thing like partiality or stuff is allowed here. Thus, all our faculties they anyways don't do that but they know they can't even think of. So, they might controlled for this but in making us learn, they have total liberty and they take full advantage of that by teaching us the best always.

Night Life

5

Very crowded is our university premises and so we mostly go a little far from the campus. For those who like having huge crowds there Hard Rock Cafe near our campus for them. Some cake shops and coffee shops as well but most of them always have waiting.

Course Curriculum Overview:

• The structure of the course was from basic to advanced. The structure made sure that all the basics are cleared specially for those who did not have psychology as a subject in class 12. • The course is well-tuned with the practical aspects that makes us better equipped for tackling real world problems. • Inclusion of field trips every semester should be implemented for better insight about the materials in the course. • Midterms are held in between our semester that is of moderate level that consists of 1 or 2 units, usually for 30 marks. The end semester exams are held at the end of the semester for around 90 marks which has higher level of difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was choosing this course in preference list I found it interesting to study the society, it's main aspect and concepts included in it . I read about Marx , max etc and found some interest in it . The curriculum does tell concept relevant information society but I feel like there is a lot of need to research in Indian societal concept and their work and interaction. Teaching method can be interesting, interactive rather than being boring concept reading in class

Placement Experience:

I feel every student needs to work hard on themselves first and equip themselves with skills which could land them a good placement. There are companies which are partnering with the college and admit interns and applicants by the end of the year. I personally have not applied for the internships or the placements but I intend to in the future.
