Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose my course because I really wanted to study psychology. It helps me for real world applications because we are taught about its application in psychology practical classes. The exams are not that hard or too easy. It's medium level of hardness. We have mid semester and end semester exams per semester. We are given many assignments.

Internships Opportunities

2

I am still in first year so I don't know much but a senior of mine went to Mumbai this year since she got offered an internship. She is from psychology department. There are a few interviews and they check on the CVs and the projects made by the students such as case studies, etc.

Placement Experience

2

Students are eligible for placements after graduation but they can do internships whenever they want to. There are many companies such as Wipro who come for recruitment drives here. Average package is 2-6LPA and the highest is 12LPA. After getting the degree, I'm deciding to prepare for SSC CGL

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is ?35,600 for my course. It includes tuition fee and lab fee as well. We have to pay for each subject when we are appearing to give theory exam during the end semester. There is a relaxation for students belonging to ST/SC/OBC. There are scholarships such as NSP provided for which students apply for.

Campus Life

3

Our annual fest is average. Nothing in front of the other DU colleges. There is no technical fest. The library is good. Some of the classes have projectors, the others have skateboards. There is a gym which is accessible to everyone but there is a timing. There are many societies and all are run by students but the campus life of our college is dull.

Admission

I applied to many other colleges but I freezed in onto this one and maybe this has come out as a form of regret for me because this isn't as much at par with the other colleges I had applied to. It's not satisfactory.

Faculty

3

The faculties are good. Not great. They teach well but they do not give us the information that we need from beforehand. Such as if we have a class or not. Some will text us after we reach. They do not even notify us about the important things such as opening for the selection of minor courses which is a first come first serve basis

Night Life

2

Cafeteria and our front lawn are the only nice places. Students bask in the sun while sitting in the front lawn with their friends. Our college's is not that great. Campus timings are from 8:30am-5:30pm. Front lawn and cafeteria are hangout spots in our college because our college is not big. Outside our college, there is a small stall where paratha and momo are made. That is a great place for eatery.

Course Curriculum Overview:

• The structure of the course was from basic to advanced. The structure made sure that all the basics are cleared specially for those who did not have psychology as a subject in class 12. • The course is well-tuned with the practical aspects that makes us better equipped for tackling real world problems. • Inclusion of field trips every semester should be implemented for better insight about the materials in the course. • Midterms are held in between our semester that is of moderate level that consists of 1 or 2 units, usually for 30 marks. The end semester exams are held at the end of the semester for around 90 marks which has higher level of difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was choosing this course in preference list I found it interesting to study the society, it's main aspect and concepts included in it . I read about Marx , max etc and found some interest in it . The curriculum does tell concept relevant information society but I feel like there is a lot of need to research in Indian societal concept and their work and interaction. Teaching method can be interesting, interactive rather than being boring concept reading in class

I feel every student needs to work hard on themselves first and equip themselves with skills which could land them a good placement. There are companies which are partnering with the college and admit interns and applicants by the end of the year. I personally have not applied for the internships or the placements but I intend to in the future.
