Remarks

College infrastructure is good but studies not. If one want to get placed and good studies then he should prefer some other better college here one can get only degree, but no knowledge but according to location it is good college.

Courses offers are good, but study not. There's no practical knowledge in classroom. Also Teachers are not experienced. Main consideration here is on just grades. They pay no attention on overall development.

Job placement is 0-30%. The companies mainly prefer students with knowledge, not bookworms but the environment provided in college is not that much sufficient. The students selected got pacages between 8-10k per month.

College Events

Holi, vaisakhi and all other festivals are celebrated here by staff and students.annual meet and fresher party are awesome.students from another college also participate in these events.gidha bhangra and break dance are worth watch.

The fee structure is quite high. The fees is between 40000-50000 per semester. And one semester is of 6 months. One can easily imagine How one course here would cost him.bus fare is also high. 5-10000 are charged for normal route.

Campus Life

Labs are good for looking. Science and computer lab is good. Other labs are poor. Experiments are not conducted in labs, only written work is given, which is checked only when semester ends.sports are here good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is good but hostel is costly. I would suggest to take PG ib sangrur instead of hostel. In PG you can easily go home when there is leave, but hostel doesn't allow going home in just one to two weeks.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, senior here are good and provide help when needed. The alumni network is strong and seniors also help in studies. They provide old books to junior and behave as brothers. I was staying with mine seniors for first two years.

Admission

I got admission through AIEEE rank. Mine Rank was good. So I was given choice to take mine trade. One year is combination of trades and another to choose trades. Overall experience and environment for admission is good.

Faculty

Poor, staff is not experienced. They just cram the things whats written in books, no practical work, o industry visit and no tour.thats why I would not suggest admission in this college. They should add more experienced staff.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Bsc biotechnology, B.G.I.E.T SANGRUR Punjab

The admission process was very simple. I just got contact no from the college website and get all the information about the college including fee and courses. So after applying you just have to pay the college tuition fee which was just 25000 per sem and the best part was that there were no hidden charges. Although at the time of admission you have to pay some extra money for admission fee and security fee and your tuition fee after that you only have up to pay your tuition fee and hostel fee if you are living in college hostel. Also, the mandatory examination fee. Admission criteria for BSc biotechnology are you must be passed from your 12 standards with at least 60%.
