Course Curriculum Overview

3

I personally did not feel good when I opted for this course. The only reason that I chose this college was because it has a brand value and that it can offer me opportunities to do something beyond my course. And I do not want to be limited to my course nor do I want to go into the core job of this course. I did not have any sort of quota.Whatsoever and got admission in this college through the way, which is considered to be the hardest to get into this college. Knowing that this college organises many meetings.

Placement Experience

2

The placements of my college are pretty decent decent, but they are very diverse.Depending upon the branch and course, people are doing. Specifically, in my course of civil engineering, the placements are not very appealing. However, students tend to apply for off campus placements.Since the college has a very strong reputation and a very nice brand name. The core placements have a very low number in average terms.Since many few people that I have seen tend to go for core jobs.Since today, everyone is trying to get a tech job in IT sector . So many students from these lower branches try to sit for tech placements. In order to get a job there, since it offers better security and better opportunities and more flexibility than other core jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a lot as far as a government College goes . I believe it increases by certain percentage every year , i gave 1,52,000 rs plus 95000 rs of spot acceptance , i will pay approx 10 lakhs after 4 years for my degree . My friends who have DASA quota get top branches at very very low score but pay 3 times the fees ( 30 lakhs )

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very vibrant and happening, the campus is lush, green and full of energy. And good vibes in the evening and one after observing this will not think that this is an academic institute. But rather feel like it is something more than that where one's purpose is to socialize and feel happy. The library is stacked with all books and journals Available out there . We have many fests here that is UPHAAR , ARENA and also one of the biggest best in north india - The engifest Even the famous actor Sushant singh rajput passed from our college including many other famous entrepreneurs. So the peer and alumini network is very strong. And this gives us a sense of confidence that we will reach somewhere good in our professional career and life .

Hostel Facilities

4

The rooms that I got are very good. Considering that it is a government college One would think that it would be a mess but it is actually way better and clean . We have one kitchen and one bathroom which is shared by 5 people . We have 2 rooms , one with 3 beds and another with 2 . We also have a balcony. The hostel mess is not the best. The quality I feel is not the best. And the hygiene of the staff is not very great. there have been many reportings and complaints of students regarding the mess but i have not noticed any particular action in order to solve that complaint or problem by the mess . In short the mess is like any other you would see in a government college but the hostel is way better and beyond expectations. The hostel is fun too and i have done many stupid things with roommates that almost got me rusticated from the hostel , but overall very fun .

Admission

I got in through jac counselling of jee and this specific college has certain rules that sets it apart from other colleges that take students on basis of the same test. This college has a very special and highly beneficial home state quoter that I did not have. And it has got eighty five percent seats reserved for the people in homestate and only fifteen percent for the people outside the home state which is where I fall . The only reason I took this college was because it has a good reputation, and I know it has the capabilities to offer me with opportunities that I need in order to carry some successful idea and no other college that I had in mind offered these opportunities as good as dtu ,even though I was getting way better Courses over there.

Faculty

4

The university has ample a mount of faculty that is ready to solve the doubts and queries of students. I like my mechanical professor prof. Gushyant gosh roy and my maths professor , prof Naokant Das who give me a lot of relaxation on my attendance. There are many qualities of some professors that I personally do not follow. But I wouldn't like to give their names like this . The exams and their level of difficulty depends on your preparation.

Night Life

5

The nightlife is one of the best things of my college which feels very good and happening. We have many spots that students like to hang out in include shoplanes. And oat theater is a famous one. Every weird thing is happening every now and then on these lanes and spots which gives the students a sense of joy when they observe it. Many random students get together and have musical jamming sessions, which helps them build a good social network .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and industry oriented syllabus. This course includes theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Laboratory work ,internship based projects influences me to take admission at this course. The timing of exam is good and moderate. The course should give more focus on technical knowledge also which may help the students to gain more knowledge.

The placements of my college are really okayish. There has been a stark fall in the standards of our college placements. Every year, lesser and lesser companies are coming to offer placements. Moreover, the placement cell tries to exploit the desparation of the students.

DTU is very well known for its placements and internships. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atlassian visit it several year with high CTCs. Students are eligible for oncampus interns from 3rd year onwards. The pfficial stats arent out so the total number of companies isnt sure. The highest last year was 85lpa offered by Atlassian while companies like Google offered 65lpa. They mostly recruited for SDE1 and the percentage is very fluctuating as it depends on the branch. Tech branches have really good numbers like 75-85% while for core engineering branches it is about 60%. I plan to work and gain some experience as SDE in a reputed company then MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is a lot outdated, in the first semester you learn things which do not even have practical applications in today's real world but that is very much the same for all colleges but i did see some interesting courses for ournext semesters and some of the professors go out of their way to teach you interesting things so that's good. I believe the curriculum should be revised as soon as possible.
