Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is strong, comprehensive, and one of the reasons I chose this course, as it builds solid fundamentals in coding, electronics, and core engineering. Pros: industry-relevant subjects, competitive depth, and good alignment with placements. Cons: limited practical exposure in early semesters and some outdated lab work.

Placement Experience

3

Student become eligible for campus placements after 3rd year. Google, Microsoft, Apple, Myntra, Oracle, Adobe, etc. come for placement on my college campus. Highest pakage was 85 lakhs and average pakage was 17 lakhs. Around 70% of the students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

For a 4-year B.Tech (e.g. your Software Engineering) at DTU: 1st year: ? 2,59,000 2nd year: ? 2,79,000 3rd year: ? 3,47,000 4th year: ? 3,66,000 Total across 4 years (tuition only) comes to about ? 12 lakhs. Non-tuition charges (like “student welfare”, “exam & other non-refundable charges”, “infrastructure / services” etc.) used to be separate. In earlier public For Reserved / SC / ST / Economically Weaker / Low-income students DTU offers fee-concession / waiver schemes: for students whose family income ? ? 4.5 lakh per annum there is eligibility for 100% full fee waiver or partial

Campus Life

5

Campus Life at DTU is very vibrant with two major festivals: Engifest and Invictus. There are a large number of books and journals available from the library. A variety of activities, clubs, sports, etc., including student-run clubs such as the IEEE and EDC provide an active and engaged campus/community, with a social life full of vibrancy.

Hostel Facilities

4

The DTU hostels provide simple accommodation basic rooms containing a bed, desk, Wi-Fi access, and a shared bathroom. The food served at the hostel is on average quite common, and the menu rotates every few weeks. Hostel applications are submitted online, and the cost of attending a DTU hostel is reasonable. However, there are privately owned hostels (PG) within the locality of Rohini/Sector-17 that have better quality accommodations for a higher price than at DTU hostels.

Admission

The reasons I chose DTU are very many due to the Academic Reputation of DTU, the Placement Rates of DTU, and the Overall Competitive Nature of DTU. Although I applied to other well-established Engineering Institutions, I received acceptance letters from a few of those schools; however, DTU was the best option due to its balanced Curriculum, higher Return on Investment (ROI), and strong Industry Ties within the Delhi NCR Region.

Faculty

5

DTU has an adequate faculty-to-student ratio, and most professors are reachable for doubts, projects, and research-related queries. Many teaching faculties are highly qualified and experienced, and students appreciate the explanation and the practical insights into core engineering subjects. A few would stick to traditional teaching methods and are less interactive in their approach.

Night Life

3

Nightlife is active, with many chatting late at night, walking around, and visiting cafes. The hostel is open between 10 pm and 11 pm. People can feel safe in this area, so you can enjoy the evening with your friends!

Other Applied Colleges

Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

My rank was not as much as that for the cutoff of the branch and the college.

I choosed this course not on the basis of curriculum but on the basis of outcomes. Curriculum is old and not real world based, professors also have limited knowledge. Course Curriculum should be made more advanced and professors should be trained well.
