Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum is outdated and needs to be improved as early as possible. The curriculum is like past back 10 years, only ging you knowledge of bookish level not of the ground reality. the teaching methods are also outdated, in most of the classes they are still using the chalk boards, also they where you need proper visualisation. They need proper lab, infra, and good set of faculties in some areas and this all will signifiantly improve the quality of educayion in hbtu. While talking about exams, the difficulty level is easy to moderate and students easily score in them. You can definitely score a good cg just by studing a single day or two day befor the exams, coz the paper repeats 70% of itself of the previous years papers.

Internships Opportunities

3

Being in HBTU, you have to work really hard for internships. The companies giving internship opportunities are Flipkart, IBM, INDIAMART, SAMSUNG, ANTLER, AKASH EV, TCS, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS etc. The projects are based on ai/ml , healthcare, fintech services and the programming skills are also required by the student.

Placement Experience

3

The placements of my college are average and the students get decent packages. Students are eligible for the placements from the very beginning from the 7th semester. The companies visiting hbtu are samsung, exxonMobil, TCS, FMCG, IBM, Hindustan Unilever, Global Logic, Adobe, Paytm, HCL technologies, Nestle, Asian Paints, Britannia and Dabur etc. The highest placement was 32 lpa while the average was 7 lpa last year . Last year almost 75% of the students were placed. My plans are to take a good placement from the college and side by side i'm working on my startup idea as well .

Fees and Financial Aid

TUTION FEE - 75,000 REGISTRATION FEE, EXAMINATION FEE - 10,000 FACILITY - 30,500 MEDICAL FEE - 3000 TRAINING AND PLACEMENT - 4000 ACTIVITY CHARGES - 3000 OTHER CHARGES.... (GIVEN BELOW) CAUTION MONEY - 5000 UNIVERSITY ALUMNI FUND - 1500 STUDENT AID FUND - 1500 MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES - 1500 WHICH MAKES THE TOTAL ACADEMIC FEE AS - 1,35,000 Fee is the same for all categories, whether gen, EWS or sc/st. You have to pay the full academic fee.

Campus Life

3

My overall experience with the college is avg, if i talk about fests, it happened in a span of 5 days last year, the main cultural fest of the college is adhyay and the technical fest hosted by the robotics clubs of the college held for 2 days. this all is typically held in the month of march-april. If i talk about library section, it is quite decent and almost all kind of book and journals are available here. If i talk about the classrooms, they are kind of average, some of them have acs whille some of the them are just normal like regular coaching rooms. There are multiple student -run socities like nss and coding clubs etc which are focusing t eh holistic development of students.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are average. The rooms are doubly or triply seated and the meal is kind of average and is decided by the mess secretery which is one of the elected students from the hostel. The overall quality of food is average which decreases as the time passes. The hostel form is released by the college on the main website and the registration process for hostel is straight forward. The pgs and personal rooms/flats are loacted nearby (area) NAWABGUNJ and AZADNAGAR.

Admission

I chose this college over the other colleges because at my jeemains rank i was getting this college as the best possible option, cox i was getting cse here and that too very near from my hometown. I was getting the best branch which i always loved and also the college having 100+ years of legacy. I also participated in the councelling og JOSSA and i was getting CIVIL ENG in NIT ALLAHABAD, in roung no. 4, but after further reconsiderations and taking advice from seniors and elders i finally decied to choose hbtu from the rest of my dream 4 years. I always wanted to take admission in IITs but i failed as i couldnt clear my jee advanced exam, which is the biggest trauma of my life.. The admission process of my college is very simple, you just need to applu through hbtu website ad you ll get branches as per your rank as it happens in jossa just the differnces is you have to apply on hbtu website, not on the main portal of jossa. Hbtu accepts 85 students from the exam of jee mains as per the marks and percentile. My overall admission experience was very good, as i got a decent college i alsways dreamt of, and overall i m happy now, and thats all which matters.

Faculty

3

Some of the faculty are pure gems, while some of them are rude and get easily triggered. If you talk about the first year, the faculties are excellent in the first sem, they will support you fully in the adjusting phase of your college as a freshie. If you ll ask doubts, they ll help you. You can anytime reach them for help. If you talk abut the second sem of the first year, there the faculties are worst, you'll find these faculties as the worst one of your full phase of the 4 years. A lot of frustration will be there by you from them. Some of helpful faculties, i'm attaching their names and departments - MANISH KUMAR SIR (PHYSICS), REKHA BALI MAAM (MATHS AND DATA SCIENCE) POOJA AGNIHOTRI MAAM (CS), SHAILI PANDEY MAAM (CHEMISTRY) , HARSHIT SIR(CIVIL), IMRAN KHAN SIR (CS), DEO CHANDRA JAISWAL SIR(ELECTRONICS), AJEET SIR(ELECTONICS). AFTER THAT, from the second year onwards, the course becomes like this that you have to work on your own, and the role of faculty reduces onwards as in 3rd and final year in terms of teaching and in terms of personal guidance, it increases significantly. The faculties are chill by the upcoming years and they'll grant you relief from 75% criteria and will help you get more bunks. In ter,s of exams the curriculum is easy and you'll get easy cooked marks. Faculties are good in terms of giving marks and you'll definitely score a good CG, if you study attentively in the class. but still some of the students fail to clear the exam, coz they avoid studies in such a way that they bunk classes and didn't study a day before exam too. But still if you are having a back too, still you can give re-exam and clear it. Re-exams are done during summer vacation period and their difficulty level is moderate.

Night Life

4

Nightlife is dead here. Here is nothing like that, you are resticted in your own hostel after 8pm, and for going out u need proper reason . The college is having a gym in west campus, 3 kmm from the main campus and it has almost all the equipments but the problem is that it is overcrowded and has timing of onmy 5-7 pm in the evening. The campus timing is 10pm while the hostel timimg is 8pm. The famous hangout areas as MOTIJHEEL, JK TEMPLE, ISKON, Z SQ MALL, RAVE 3, RAVE MOTI AND PARMATH temple.
