What Students Say

Likes

The best thing of my college is the geography department.
The greenery all around the bamboo classes.
College seminar hall and amphitheatre manifest me more.

Dislikes

The fest are not organised every year.. irregularities are there
It is not among the top colleges of delhi university.
Infrastructure needs renovation. Auditorium is also small.

Course Curriculum Overview

The vastness of the curriculum influenced my decision to choose this course.the curriculum prepares me for the real world . I think the teachers need to use smartboards for some lectures.this year is my first year so i don't know much about difficulty level as such

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies which provides internship programs . i don't much about it as I am fresher and have little knowledge about the projects but there is a placement cell in my college . Yearly they invited companies for placements .

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for my course is around 48615 for the complete three year duration. The fees are usually paid annually. 1st year - 16205 ( including tution fee and admission fee and development and lab fees) 2 nd year - 16205 (including all above ) 3 Rd year - 16205 (including above all )

Campus Life

The campus life is not such good as I expected..but in future I think I will live a great campus life as the annual fest will happen in future. Books are also available in my college library My college also participated in different games

Admission

I applied for 15 colleges and get 7 number preference from the top in the very first round. I choose this college because of the course i got as the department is very nice and also the oldest one.i get rejected from 6 colleges as I don't fullfill their marks criteria. To get my college , it is important to clear the cuet . anyone whose is 12 pass can apply .

Faculty

The faculty of my department is very good as well as very knowledgeable. Zaheen alam ( geography professor) is my favourite faculty member . I liked him because he is very knowledgeable. There are no such facilities whom I disliked. There are tests every week and 2 semestral exams every year.

Night Life

There is no gym in my college.cafeterias and library is open from 8 to 5 .there is no hostel in my college .campus is open at 7: 30 to 7 pm at late night.the famous hangout places in my college are the red benches and back of the bamboo classes

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

honest JMC review

Placement Experience:

Students become Eligible for campus placements after in the 3rd year. The placements have been improved a lot in the past years. Companies like Pwc, kpmg, McKinsey, bain and Co come for campus placements. The highest package was 23 lakhs per annum last year.

College Life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in pursuing in Economics field as a career and hence my degree perfectly aligns with my career goals The curriculum is not very effective when we talk aboht the real world exposure however it is very good for further academic pursuits The curriculum could be a bit more practical based where we get exposure to the real industry as well. The exams are held twice in an year. The difficulty level is moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ba Spanish curriculum is pretty similar to the dele exam that you would need to take in the future, it's like ielts but for spanish. Everything that you've already covered in class is asked in the year end exams it's pretty doable with minimum efforts

Placement Experience:

If I didn't get a placement from my college.... I'm planning on doing tha MA in economics by giving CUET-PG .And side by side preparing for the government exams tooo. JMC offers avg of a 6-8 lakh placement with 7-8 cgpa and few skills needed

FACTS ABOUT JMC

Course Curriculum Overview:

the maths it includes under mme , i loved that curriculum, also the micro and macro economics and stats both as sibjects fascinate me alot which is why i chose this course. the curriculum does prepare us for real world applications because it includes stats and eco which are quite helpful. the one thing i think should be improves is that the stats course at times includes stuff which has been taught to us before in class 12th and is not relevant to be taught again.

Hard Reality of DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am excited to learn a lot of economics and how the world works around that but that is not how the curriculum is designed. It doesn't prepare you for real-world applications. More practical knowledge needs to be included and less of rote learning

Sneak peak into jmc

I applied for some top colleges of north campus and lsr and venky in south campus , nmims and ip university. I got confirmed admission from ip University and nmims but i chose Jmc as it is a more prestigious and reputed collge. I didn't get a rejection. The admission process was easy just give cuet and fill preference list and colleges will be alloted on the basis of marks . A quick view on Dyal Singh College Morning, DU

I applied all the colleges of the DU but I chose Dyal Singh College for my graduation cuz it has best rating at that time and everyone was appreciating the facilities. No I didn't get rejection from any college. I want to enroll in DSC only. You just have to wait for the cutoff.
