What Students Say

Likes

The campus is good, but not the best regarding space.
College offers great opportunities for the students to explore themselves in their respective engineering domains.
The clubs, especially the motor sports related clubs and Rocketry related are top notch.

Dislikes

The campus is not big enough to accommodate the playground for sports activities, there is a ground but not big enough
The college is quite serious about attendence
Due to NEP policy there are lot of non technical subjects that are taught for 1st and 2nd year students

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is modified every one or two years. The first year students are taught 60 per. tecnical and 40 per. Humanities subjects. The humanities subjects are reduced in second year. From third year there are only your branch related subjects.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 83000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Students are made to do the internships from the summer break after the second year completion. T&NP cell of the college keeps on updating students regarding interships and market requirements. Its compulsory for every student to complete the interships till fourth year so they can apply for placement drives.

Placement Experience

The college offers good placements to the students those who are well skilled in their respective domians. The Traning and Placements department of the college is always active and keeps on informing students regarding all the the opprtunities availabe. The palcement prcentage is upto 70 %.

Fees and Financial Aid

Open category sudents have to pay full fees which is Rs.145000. OBC category students have to pay Rs.85000 , same for the the esw category students and ebc category. For NT/VJNT they have to pay upto 22000 and for SC/ST they have to pay Rs 3000

Campus Life

The college has provided all the essential infratstructure that is required for the engineering student. The campus life is avergae, but the college clubs are always active and cover all the social and technical aspects.

Admission

I choose this college due to my cet score was within the merits of this college. the placements they offer are good avg upto 7 lpa. Admission process is same as other colleges in Maharashtra with coordination with CET cell of the state. There are 4 CAP rounds and students have to confirm their seat within these rounds.

Faculty

There is only one exam per semister for each subject which is of either 30 or 60 marks depending on course credits. In between there are 10 or 20 marks tasks/exams twice a Semister. These 10 or 20 marks exams are usually presentations or small tests like mcqs.

Night Life

The night life around the campus is average as the college is situated in PCMC and not in the heart of the Pune city. Things get closed up after 12 in the night. But there is enough night life for students to explore and enjoy the city.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester ,students are eligible for placements. Companies like tcs, infosys, cappgemini, accenture are common for hiring. Almost 60 percent strudents get placed. My plans after degree is placement plus MS/MTech if a good gate score.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs.
