My college review

As i'm a fresher in the college, I think everything is going great until now but I really don't know that what's gonna happen in another 3 yrs of my life in this college campus. I hope for the best for me as well as for all the students.

The studies should start with very basic information as many students are from different departments and not everyone is able to understand quickly. Total of 6 semester will take place. Each semester contains 3 exams, i.e. Internal Sem, Mid sem. & End sem. which holds 30%, 20% & 50% of total marks respectively.

At the time of GDPI they told us that 180+ companies come to UPES for recruitment and they hold an avg. record pf 95% placements every year which I think is quite good, but the time will tell whether is it true or not.

Many events are celebrated in college. First they start with the Freshers Party which is for new admissions to the college. Then many other clubs & events take place and the most awaited event is Urja (college fest).

As it is a private college so the fees structure is quiet high as compared to other colleges. A citizen of Uttarakhand can show his/her domicile and can redeem 33% off on Tution fee in college. As per the reviews from seniors, fee structure is quiet high for middle class families.

I don't know about any loan facility that the college provides. It might be provided to some students who excelled in their grades but icm not sure about this one. Google this question to get the answer.

Many many activities takes place and students are also requested to participate and volunteer for the activities. They are quiet fun and many show their support and helping hands for improvement of department. Different sports fields are present and can be played in the campus.

Yes. The seniors are really helpful to all the Freshers and are really frank in nature while talking to their juniors. You can go and ask for help anytime in college hours and no one will ever ignore you, which I think is the prime factor for college popularity.

I had attended the the process which is necessary to take admission in the Kandoli campus which is GD-PI. It means that you need to clear 3 rounds that are -: You need to write statement of purpose then Group Discussion & last one Personal interview. If the interviewer likes your attitude, then you are welcome to UPES!

Facuty members are well trained but do rush with the syllabus at times. The students who are new to commerce or Law field may face some difficulty at times but taking tutions can solve it. Rest every faculty member is experienced well in their respective fields.
