Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is having various schemes for extending your credits like Going for minors Going for honours Opting for sem long internships Or regular graduation The course is very relevant for real world experience

Internships Opportunities

4

There are various companies which offer internships with paid and unpaid internships the various roles offered under internship type and training, assistant manager, project manager, et cetera, et cetera Companies like Siemens have opened a lab in collaboration with VNIT that provide the students a chance to work with world classic equipment with top class professionals Students can take part in various projects like a club in VNIT equal velocity that has represented the college at a national level and has secured laurels

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placentas after 6 th semester that is in their 3rd year. Many large companies visit the college every year to hire new employees. Companies like John deere, HPCL, Bose, L&T and various other reputed companies visit the campus for placements Last year around 155-160 companies visited the campus. The overall percentage of students placed was 83-85% Taking about the department wise placement there was 93.5% placement for mechanical department 88% for chemical dept 92% for ECE and EEE department My plans after degree is to go for PG programs in premier institutes of the entire world and to explore various skill in my domain that will certainly help Menon securing good packages rising above the ordinary.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a tuition fees of 62150 for first year students of general category along with which if you opt for hostels it is charged 32150(boys). Maximum of the other fees like lab fees and all are included in the tuition fees . Rest of the fees are not that much. For sc students there is no tuition fees (first year) only one time fees is paid by them. There is a provision of remittance of tuition fees for ncl students.

Campus Life

5

The annual cultural festival held in VNIT is called Aarohi It is central India. India's biggest cultural festival held across any college as various universities participate in this fest for dance, drama, singing, showing of their coding skills, , et cetera. This is a phase where people across all the parts of India come Each other, and each other's colleges pretty well The annual technical fest held in VNIT is called axis technical fest. It is again central India's biggest technical fest held across any college axis is a platform which provides upcoming coders, a pretty huge stage for themselves to prove their potential across many universities. There is a vast library in the campus itself, which is having huge amount of books, both related to academics and for entertainment Students of any year can issue the books from the library on a book loan basis The technical provisions of the classroom are up-to-date and many new technologies like this SmartBoard monitor are used During teaching Across all the NIT in India, VNIT is arguably the best in terms of sports activities as we are having tennis courts, basketball courts, badminton courts, table, tennis tables, and Olympic size, swimming pools, wildlife experience, Centre, and much much more There are many student run club in with social groups that impact students mental health support them and provide them help whenever they need it

Hostel Facilities

4

The facilities provided in the hostel room are a land board, a fan and a wardrobe and bed frame for each student. The basic needs are ful. The mail quality in the mess is pretty good considering that the food is made on a large scale, and the menu is also very appetising throughout the month The registration process for hostel is extremely simple. We have to fill some Google forms and then a college form giving all our details about. Where do we live and what occupation our parents are from and then we have to pay the hostel fees and the hostel fee is actually quite affordable. For example for first year UG students boys hostel fees ?32,150. The locality around the campus also provides rooms for PG students. In case they want to rent it at very affordable price

Admission

I applied for others colleges that accepted admission through the state entrance cell. I was getting admission there on my previous exam basis and also MHT CET exam result. I chose VNIT as it was near my home and also it was more premier institute than the colleges of MHT CET I was not rejected from the other colleges that o applied for only my rank was not sufficient to get admission in their courses. The admission process for VNIT is that they accept students on the basis of JEE MAINS examination for students that wish to pursue bTech and then there is a separate exam of architecture for students who wish to pursue BArch which is a five year integrated program offered by the college.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is good as there are also student mentors allocated for a group of small students like that of 15 students. The course curriculum is relevant for atleast mechanical department The only time the students fail are for not coping up with what's happening in the class

Night Life

4

For first years, the gym timing is from 6 AM to 8 AM. There are no cafes present inside the campus, but there are two canteen inside the campus, which is accessible to all first year at any given point of time. The library is also accessible for student And the public area closing are according to the timings of respective students The hostel and timings for first years is at 8 PM, and after that campus and timings are 10:30 PM for second year onwards The campus is very big spread across a vast 220 acres and there are a lot of places to hang out inside and Like the Chandrama canteen, the musical amphitheatre, the Auditorium, the Vishwa wildlife Centre and much much more The locality around which the college is spread across is an extremely posh locality and is very safe to roam around at night

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are decent, especially for computer related branches. Students usually become eliggible for campus placement from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts taining programs from earlier semesters, including aptitude tests, technical sessions and mock interviews to prepare students. Many companies visit the campus every year, mainly from the IT and software sector. Some ofthe common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant and mid level companies. A few products based or higher paying companies also visit for specific branches. The average package is usually around 4-6 LPA while the highest package can go above 10-12 LPA in some years, especially for computer science and IT students. The placement percentage varies by branch, but overall, around 70-80 % of eligible students get placed with higher percentages in computer related branches. As for my personal plan, after completeing my degree, I aim to get a good campus placement in a reputed company and start my career in the engineering field. I also plan to keep improving my technical and communication skills during the course to increase my chances of getting a better package.
