My VNIT experience

I wanted to do Mechanical engineering.I have applied to top NIT's like Trichy ,warangal,rourkel and VNIT. I finally got vnit mechanical in the 3rd round of JOSAA councilling. I haven't got into the top colleges since I didn't managed to get a good rank to get into mechanical. I was getting lower braches like metallurgy and civil in which I'm not interested. I choose VNIT Nagpur over other colleges as it is one of the top tier college of NITin India with a strong academic reputation, good placement record and excellent infrastructure. I was also eligible to take a seat at NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal.. etc . So i wanted MNNIT allahabad but the next preference was VNIT obviously. But in the jossa round I got this one . Earlier I got svnit which is also good but still comparison to VNIT it's still lack behind in infrastructure and curriculum. And for admission process you can approach VNIT website its all given there you need ready all the documents required with photocopies and when you go to college there is academic building where whole process happens . i chose this college as its nirf ranking is below 40 which is higher than many iits in india. other reason to opt this college is that it is a bit nearer to my place compared to other nits in all over india. there was a doubt to chose between branch and college. i shose both by opting eee in nagur nit. admission process is simple. once college is alloted from josaa councelling and csab lucky councelling, joining date and approval of admission will be released which helps you jpoin and treach college on time. after reaching here, student mentors from 3rd year help freshers in every step of admission and complete in 2 hours atmost. after everything has done, a hostel room and roommate is alloted as per allotment scheme and you can happily explore college and join our hostel which feels like a swcond home....Read More
