Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum was verey much Comprehensive. I wanted to accomplish this course at any cost because of my excellent flair in this language adding to my Interest. It actually broadened by Mental Horizon and shaped my thinking perception. It also helped me in my Academic pursuits not only for me but also for my kids as well. It also helped me in widening my own Knowledge and buit my awareness regarding many issues we face in our daily lives. As such there are no serious concerns for improvrment. The difficulty level of Examinations is immensely higher than other courses and it braeks student's confidence too. The level has to brought down else it won't be a Piece of cake for average students anymore !

Fees and Financial Aid

It was a wonderful experience studying in Delhi University. I pursued English (hons) from school of Open learning but the study material was very rich. I never purchased refrence books alll through my Graduation years. It was so impactful and content was so practical that i still remember all my course content. I paid approximately 9000 Rupees every year and it included all other expenses like tuition fees, etc.. My Batchmates paid the same fees as mine. There were good amount of Scholarships and other financial aids available at that moment but fortunately i never accessed them. I got the admission on Merit basis ie. 75 % above in class 12th borad exam and above 85 marks in English subject. I Really miss my Graduation Days !!!

Campus Life

4

I never attended any college festivals and events. There was no access to the Library given to us. And we were not given any provisional classrooms. It was strictly distance based learning and we were only confined to exams.

Admission

I didn't apply to any other college because my brother told me to do so. I was pursuing my animation course for which I had to opt this course from open learning. Other colleges used to offer doubts sessions, Practical Exams, OPtional Lectures and Immense vast Course. I used to wonder at times ! why my college is so cool? The admission process was very smooth because I knew certain things like Attested documents, draft cheques and Photographs ,etc.. I knew that the officials are very particular aboy their procedures and they will shut the window for Lunch time. calling them out respectfully will only help me for a smooth procedure. The procedure was very simple for me because all my documents were attested, originals verified, photographs ready and documents arranged likewise.

Ii had no classes to attend and no teacher to ask any doubts. I studied all by myself and I learnt a lot. This course really helped me in shaping my Personality.. There used to be only Annual Examinations back the, once in a year in the month of March. And paper used to be of good strength like 20 marks. I had to write the whole novel in that stretch of 3 hours alongside attempting other questions too. Else, there was no guidance and no revision manual was provided to us.

Night Life

5

It was a distance based learning course and we were at distance from these activities. We were never offered any access to any of the events, or any functions of the University. The area around was called out to be safe because there were many Hostels around and the market was also working according to their needs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not good. Delhi University should focus much better on the curriculum.. There's no need of subject like evs, swach bharat, and all for a college student... The timetable is manageable..

Course curriculum was good. Could have included more practical stuff. I was happy when I chose the course and pretty satisfied when I completed it. However, I'd say just the course doesn't prepare you for the industry.

Placements of our college doesn't lack anything as students mostly opt for further studies but I have no issues saying that placements are also available if not in numbers. Let's be fair as jobs in current scenario are that many in comparison to the number of students that graduates every year. Still, Miranda House has done well to make sure that over 60-65% students get placements.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement but if we doing 4 years of college so 8 semester. Name of the companies visited. Zomato Amazon Uber Ibm There are around 70000 students who are eligible for the placement Asiants paints The highest and average package offered to the students is 35 LPA for highest and 3-4 LPA average. The percentage of a student must be above 80 percent if they want a average job but if a person want a job in great company they should have percentage around 90 to 95. My plans after getting the degree to become a lecturer. placements, especially for students in popular courses like commerce, economics, and science. The college often invites various companies for campus recruitment, and many students have secured jobs in reputable firms. the extent of placements can vary each year based on market conditions, the courses offered, and the students' performance. If campus placements are limited or not offered, students can still focus on enhancing their employability. By making them selves skillful growing them selves from iner side By skill Development Engage in skill-building activities such as online courses, workshops, or certifications that are relevant to your field. Skills in areas like data analysis, digital marketing, programming, or communication can significantly boost your employability. By Internships seek internships during your course. They provide practical experience and can often lead to job offers. Internships also help you build a professional network by Networking Attend industry events, seminars, and workshops to connect with professionals in your field. Networking can lead to job opportunities that may not be advertised and Higher Studies Consider pursuing further education, such as a master's degree or professional courses, which can enhance your qualifications and open up more job opportunities Entrepreneurship. We can start our own business from which we don't have to get depends on companies.
