- The campus size is huge, spreading over 780 acres and is lush green.
- The gender ratio is good enough. The junior-senior interactions are also fair enough.

Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite in sync with the NEP 2020 and is robust enough. The material is a good foundation to appear for competitive exams after graduation, although extra effort and preparation are necessary.
Internships Opportunities
There are vast internship opportunities, with our average campus internship packages going from 60-70 thousand per month, with the highest salary going to 1.5 lakhs per month. The opportunities are provided in the 3rd year and also, in the 8th semester.
Placement Experience
The fourth-year students are eligible for campus placements with a good CGPA (8+ is safe, 7+ is also allowed). The placement companies include big names like Google, Microsoft, Visa, etc. The average package from ECE goes around 13 LPA, with a median of around 11 LPA. Around 70% of the registered students get placed. As for me, I am yet to decide my future endeavours.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees range from 1.71 lakhs to 2.26 lakhs per semester. Admission Fee: 20000 Caution Money: 10000 IT & Digital Infrastructure: 65000 You also receive the GP Birla Scholarship, which is awarded to students with a merit score of more than 9 CGPA. Also, there are scholarships for General EWS and SC/ST students.
Campus Life
The social life is very enriched, with 30+ clubs to take part in. The technicals include coding clubs like IEEE or IET, the social clubs like Leo or Rotaract or the socials like SPIC, Literary club, Music club, etc. The library is also one of the oldest, with thousands of books, periodicals and journals. The sports facilities are vast, with huge fields and proper gyms,etc.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are of double occupancy (without AC) and are cosy enough, but congested! As for the mess food, it's ok with non-veg served around three times a week. The food is decent. Occasionally, there are special dishes served at festivals.
Admission
I chose this college mainly for the branch preference. Also, given that our college is 70 years old, its legacy was enough to allow me to choose it. The decision was right, and I am content that I chose BIT Mesra as my college. As for the vast campus and rich culture, the college is great in competing with tier 2 colleges.
Faculty
The faculty of ECE is good enough and friendly. They are approachable and help you with your queries. As for the exams, there are two quizzes, one mid-semester and one end-of-semester, conducted per semester. The exams are not too hectic, and can be prepared even after a few short study sessions one week before the exams.
Night Life
The nightlife is superb, with students hanging out in the canteens or shopping complexes. The campus is safe, and you can roam around freely. Mainly, the shops close by 9 pm, and so is the curfew timing for girls' hostels. As for the boys' hostel, there is no serious curfew time! Anyways, it's fun around.
