Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure at NIT Kurukshetra is fairly comprehensive in terms of covering core mechanical engineering including subjects like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, and manufacturing. Basic electricle and electronics is not taught here which i find disturbing. Exams are conducted on time, two mid semester exams and on end semester exam with moderate difficulty as far as i know.

Internships Opportunities

4

While I don't have complete detail about all the internship opportunities available through NIT Kurukshetra, I do know that the college facilitates internship for students who meet a minimum CGPA criteria, especially through in-campus opportunities like project based internship under professors. These projects often include hands on work on designs, simulation, fabrication, etc. Many students also actively apply and secure results in teamships at IITS and other reputed institutes.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure includes tution fees, student welfare fund, seat rent, etc., which totals 1,11,500 for the first semester. Thereafter, it varies by semester: ruppees 83000 for even semester and reupees 89000 for odd semesters exluding the mess charges which are about 34500 for each semester. The college provides a 2/3 tution fee wavier for students having family income less than rupees 5 lakhs per annum, and a full tution fee wavier for SC, ST, PwD, and students with a family income below ruppees 1 lakh per annum. The fee structure remains the same throughout the duration of course and does not change. One can find the detailed fee structure on the institute's website

Campus Life

4

My overall experience with campus life at NIT Kurukshetra has been truly enriching especially on the social and extracurricular front. The campus is full of diverse cultural clubs that allows students to explore their interests and express their true selves whether it's music dance drama literature or photography. The annual cultural fest Confluence is the flagship event and takes place every year in October it draws huge crowd and celebrity guests, last year artists like Mohammed Irfan and well known fans performed. The technical and managerial fest Techspardha is held in February or March and features student run societies like arrow molding club and EMR - robotics club attracting participants from colleges across India. The library is well stocked with a vast collection of academic and general books you can find almost any title you are looking for. Classroom are equipped with smart boards projectors and land connections and serving modern learning environment. As for sports Haryana land of accused the campus gives up to the spirit with excellent facilities. The annual sports fest Citus boasts intense competition across various sports.

Admission

i chose NIT Kurukshetra mainly because it's close to my home town and is considered one of the reputed colleges in Haryana. Compared to other NIT's like NIT Jalandhar snd SVNIT Surat, NIT Kurukshetra has a more competitive cutoff, which shows how sought after it is, especially due to its location near Delhi. The admission process here is through JEE Mains, with Eligibility requiring PCM in 12th and at least 75% in board exams.

Faculty

4

The faculty in our college are generally well qualified and supportive. Many of them teach with dedication, understand student's difficulties, and are approchable both after class and in their offices. Of course, like any other institution there are exceptions. Each class consists of 60 students which allows for decent interaction with the faculty. The exam system includes two mid semester examinations of 20 marks each and one end semster exam of 50 marks. The remaining 10 marks are for the attendence or teachers assessment. Practicle examinations are also conducted during the semester.

Night Life

2

The nightlife around an NIT Kurukshetra is limited. Mainly because the college is located on the outskirts of town, with not much happening nearby. After 8:30 PM. Girls are not allowed to be outside their hostels, and although there's no official mention for boys, it's generally expected to stay indoors at night. Inside the campus there are few ways to unwind the gym, the library, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the curriculum 7/10. It prepared the students with the theoritical aspects but lacked to prepare them for the practical knowledge. It can be improved by focussing more on practical examination. Each semester there were 3 exams, out of which two were sessionals and one was main exam. The exam difficulty level was moderate but the marking was strict.

Placement Experience:

Almost 90 percent of the companies start taking placement colleges from the 7th semester onwards or till the end of the 8th semester in which all the students are placed. And if any student still remains, he applies for off-campus placement, then he also gets placed easily.

Don't join the college as they doesn't care about your career Faculty is bad and also doesn't have minimum experience and qualifications Teachers will change every semester or even teachers can leave the job in mid semester. If want a good career then don't go for it
