Course Curriculum Overview

4

I did my class 12th with biology so biology was one of the option for me like zoology or botany but I like botany so I did it The curriculum prepares me real world applications like from it you would know actually how plants are imp for us and how it is good The area which can be improved like working hours of us students it is kind of irritating sometimes Exam happen two times in a year like in one year there are two semesters so it is hard to manage because course is so vast and exams timing is generally two hours

Placement Experience

2

If you talk about placements so for the commerce course and arts give the placements like avg 8 lakh and maximum can go 30 lakh pr anum also but it is not generally for the science courses it is all about bcom and ba and ba programme

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fee is almost 29000 and It's increasing because in first year of my college it was 28000 something and it is increasing If you go about this it is semi government college so it is slightly at the higher side

Campus Life

5

The annual fest is confluence it is the biggest fest of North campus Books are easily issued from the library and a website is for the access of journals Classes have smart boards, projector green boards Students run social groups for global companies or funds and students run college society like nishtha civil services society

Hostel Facilities

4

One of the biggest facility Is that you are nearest to the college and hostel has common room , reading room for the students Meal are three times but the quality is awesome and you'll definitely enjoy the food For hostel you have to fill the form then you'll selected on the basis of marks and distance from the college for the persons who live in ncr area they wouldn't get it and hostel is slightly costly if you compar with others but it's good No I have not rented a room or pg

Admission

I applied for hindu college, hansraj college, kirori mal college, Venkateshwara College etc, I got my addmission first in venkteshwara college for the course biological science then I got college at Hansraj College course botany hons I didn't get rejection from any of the college because I have decent marks The eligibility test is cuet (common university entrance test) cutoffs are around 350-450 marks per candidate

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is like 1 faculty is for almost 9-10 students it's not that approachable but college is trying by making a students mentee of the faculty members Prof monika koul, dr. Sahil mehta, prof vijay rani rajpal, prof aanand sonkar I don't like dr savita Singh, dr mandeep Exams are almost easy not like anyone will be fail if you don't write in the sheets then it'll be

Night Life

4

In locality there are cafeterias as yk famous market of Kamla Nagar it is famous. There are lots and lot of pg and their timing for girls is around 10 pm but for the boys there is no as such limit . It is good and safe Gyms and library are available in the campus area

I will rate 10 out of 7 to this course curriculum because in this course the experiment and lab works is too low as compare to another courses like biomedical science, bsc zoology and many more. But it's ok I'm happy with this course.

Students become eligible for placements on the 3rd year, we have decent placement opportunities but not the best, highest package is around 15 lakhs. Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.
