Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is really great and a lot different from other colleges. While other colleges have same courses for the 1st year . Our college has 1-2 core cours in the 2nd sem which introduces us to the branch we have taken. Courses like human values and ethics are of no use and just a burden.

Internships Opportunities

5

The college provides in campus internships to 1st year students known as lusip. This is not compulsory or a part of curriculum. Their is an internship in 5th sem or 2nd year summer as part of the curriculum and it has credits as well

Placement Experience

4

Students start getting placed from 6th sem onwards . A senior from 6 sem just got placed a few days back. The companies visiting are samsung r&d, Deloitte, ibm, tekion etc. No microsoft or amazon comes to the college. There are a lot of off campus placements as well. No of offers were around 400 The highest package was 52.28 lakhs and the average was 11.6 lakhs. The percentage of students getting places was 85.11. These are of the year 2024. I plan to get a placement as well

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid an overall of 6 lakh rupees including tution, hostel, mess fee. The tuition fees was 2.35 lakhs per semester and it increases by 10% every year. The caution fee is 10,000 which is refundable . The registration fee is 3000. The development fee and lab fee was not mentioned while paying. Their is no reservation in this college so the fees is same for all. Mcm scholarship - Some students can get a scholarship of upto 50% of tuition fee if they have jee advanced air upto 12,000 or jee main percentile of above 97 and the parental income should be below 5 lacs per annum. Second semester onwards you need 8.5 cgpa or more to continue this scholarship. Merit scholarships - top 20 rankers (upto 5000 rank, gen)in jee advanced. Amount is upto 35,000 per sem. Next top 20 (upto 12000 rank) . Amount is upto 30000 per sem. 2nd sem onwards you need 9.81-10 cgpa for 35000. 9.51-9.8 for 30000 Bpl scholarships - 1st sem not applicable 2nd sem onwards 6 cgpa or more with no backlogs.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of three major fests- Tech fest - plinth Cultural fest - vivacity Sports fest - desportivos All the fest are held in the month of January and February . The library has a lot of books . I don't go to the library a lot but as I have heard from my friends, most of the necessary books are there. There are smart board in every classroom with AC . The sports facilities have been improved this year with the renovation of gym, basketball court. There are no flood lights in the cricket ground . Their are a lot of tech , cult clubs like the coding,web3, astronomy, entrepreneurship, etc clubs . There is dance , singing, drama, nukkad mandli club as well.

Hostel Facilities

4

The room is different for each year. There are a total of 6 hostels . 5 for boys and 1 for girls. 2 of the boys hostel are equipped with ac while all the other have duct cooling system . The rooms are double sharing. Each room has 2 mattress, 2 desks,2 bed , 2 cupboards, 1 tubelight ,2 personal desk light. The mess is okaish and the menu changes every 2 months . If the majority of students complain about any particular food in the menu then they might change it. If you want to rent a pg then you will have to go to the city which is 45 min away. So it is suggested to take a hostel room only

Admission

The main reason was no reservation policy. I was getting thapar, msrit and other colleges but the main issue was the intake and the reservation. The crowd of this college is amazing and you meet the people of same calibre as yours . I didn't get bits pilani so this was my other option. The admission process is simple- You need to apply on the website providing all the documents and pay 2000 If you are eligible to sit in the counselling, you will be asked to pay 25,000 to sit in the counselling. There are around 5-6 rounds. After selection you need to report to college on the date mentioned with the required documents .The accepted exams are jee mains and jee advanced only. The cutoff for cs branch was around 48000 while the cutoff for ece this year was around 94000

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:15. While some faculties are friendly others are hard to talk to. The faculties for first year are not that great . But some faculties are really really supportive as I mentioned above . I didn't like prof dishari choudhary as she doesn't know how to be interactive with the students and she doesn't even try. Some professor try to take feedback and work upon their mistakes and that's a good thing. I liked dr mohit gupta's work a lot. The course taught by him was included by him only. He usually teaches 3rd year but since 2023 he started teaching to 1st year as well. He is a practical person and the way he teaches you not just academically but also about life is just amazing. Many 3rd year students who did their btp under him are placed in good companies. Their are mid term and end term. Their are quizzes as well and they might be taken offline or online depending on the professors. The course is really good. I was told that the acads are tough and the professors fail you on purpose but I didn't see that issue anywhere till now

Night Life

3

The cafeteria is a good place to hangout. The gym was renovated last month only. The library is really good place to hangout and spend your time. The intime is 10:45 pm for both girls and boys. Since the college is in outskirts there is nothing outside the college except forest.

Other Applied Colleges

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
