Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical Engineering is all about hardwork and I feel in building and therefore I chose mechanical engineering. In our college from classes to labs all are more than complete and therefore I don't want to change anything. I wish it stays the same as our course and pabs are upgraded every year.
Internships Opportunities
L&T and IRB Infra were two companies that gave internship letters to 25 students from our college. Ofcourse 1st semester CGPA were taken and some recommendations from the faculties were given as only those students got internships.
Placement Experience
DTU campus placements are arguably the best. CSE definitely holds the highest degree of payments but Mechanical too has a certain degree of placements that around 80-85 percent students get placed through campus. Companies of highest reputation like L&T, DRDO and many other government and private sector companies come to our college for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
DTU is as good as many NITs and lower ranked IITs. So, fees is as per them as it is 2.6 lakhs a year. Also theres 10k as registration fees and some other additional charges and all make the yearly fees around 3 lakhs a year. However, for students who are in merit but have serious financial conditions are provided scholarships.
Campus Life
Engifest which I mentioned before is the biggest fest among North Indian Colleges. All DU students can come to our fest if they hold an i card of their colleges. Our campus is spread in 165 acres and have the best of best facilities like a cricket ground, football ground, indoor sports like carrom, chess and badminton to name a few.
Admission
IIT Delhi was a dream college but my JEE Mains was not enough for me to get admissions there. Hence I chose the second best college of my city which is DTU. Admissions are based on same merit and that is JEE Mains score.
Faculty
Faculties should be applauded because it is not easy to deal students and they do it with ease. We are one of the toughest going around and also one of the largest batch. So we are a bunch of 80 students and 2 batch so we are in all 160 students for Mechanical. So, there are around 25 faculties in all and 1 faculties per 7 student is the faculty to students ratio at DTU.
Night Life
Cafe DTM Restaurant and Bar, Cafe DTU which is one of the best coffee shop till Rohini is very near to our campus. Also, Adventure Island which is an amusement park is also close to our campus and these are some of the places where we go once in a week.
