Likes

The infrastructure of DTU is quite very Good and above the Horizons. It has 164 acre Campus. It consist of Central Library, Computer Centre
Students get to a part of many SOCIETIES like Cultural Society or Tech Society as per their respective interest and Passion.

Dislikes

The first and foremost thing would be Administrative delays. The slow administrative processes need to be almost null to zero.
The huge gap amongst the very branches in terms of placement should be minimal.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of civil engineering is quite extensive but very modern world relevant. The contents like soil mechanics , fluid mechanics influenced my decision to take up the course. The teaching methods are quite authentic and easy to comprehend. Each semester has exams.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 91000 per year

Placement Experience

The students gets eligible for the placements from fourth year. The companies comes and goes by. The head of placement cell confirms the different guidelines for applying for the company. Around 20- 50 companies visited , made that much of offers. The highest package offered was 2.3 CR and average package was 56 lakhs. Around 60%- 70% students,got the placements. Getting into startups after degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

BTECH ( Civil Engineering ) Yearly fees structure - Rs. 91,000 (1st year ) Rs.91000 ( 2nd year ) and same for last 2 years Registration fee for semester exam - Rs.200 Hostel room rent - Rs.1000 per month Registration Fees- Rs.1,100 Admission fees - Rs. 70,000 Yes, It is increasing year by year.

Campus Life

The Engifest and AARAMBH fest are quite thrilling. They are typically held once a year particularly in February and september month. You will get even number of books and journals in library. The classes are held in a very technological frame. The students can enjoy gym, sports complex, fests, unofficial parties too.

Admission

I gave JEE main and ADVANCE exam along with IPU Exam. I had also cleared the IPU EXAM and got a good rank but I choose DTU , as DTU is ranked higher than IPU in terms of academics, placements , extra curriculum activities and recognition. We have the clear the JEE exam and attend the counseling session and see our rank matches with cut off for admission process.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio :- 40 to 1 The relationship between the student and faculty is immersive. The faculties are approachable. They listens to your Doubts. Awadhya Sir , who used to teach Steel , throw some light on memory lane. Each and Every Semester has exams. Half way exam and full term exam. No one fails the exam ( it's not that tough). The course is quite revelant.

Night Life

The maggie baba is very quite famous for al students residing in campus or joining the campus. You can hang out at mechanical infamous canteen, enjoy a meal around different pantries. The hostel timings ends with 9 or 10 in night.

Other Applied Colleges

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University - [GGSIPU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

The opted college was more higher in NIRF Rankings and good in reputation and Academics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in the management field and the course that I took had the integration of subjects like SCM and TQM within it. The teaching methods lacked since practical knowledge and introduction to industry used softwares were no where given .

Where dreams meet discipline - My DU Experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and industry oriented syllabus. This course includes theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Laboratory work ,internship based projects influences me to take admission at this course. The timing of exam is good and moderate. Delhi Technological University: All that glitters is not always gold

Placement Experience:

DTU is very well known for its placements and internships. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atlassian visit it several year with high CTCs. Students are eligible for oncampus interns from 3rd year onwards.The pfficial stats arent out so the total number of companies isnt sure. The highest last year was 85lpa offered by Atlassian while companies like Google offered 65lpa. They mostly recruited for SDE1 and the percentage is very fluctuating as it depends on the branch. Tech branches have really good numbers like 75-85% while for core engineering branches it is about 60%. I plan to work and gain some experience as SDE in a reputed company then MBA.

Btech cse course curriculum is very good ... but there are few thing we need to notice .... in 1st sem ... there are many subject which is not required as a cse student ... it is just a waste of a year .... students can learn better coding in that 1 year .

360 Degree Review Of DTU

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is a lot outdated, in the first semester you learn things which do not even have practical applications in today's real world but that is very much the same for all colleges but i did see some interesting courses for ournext semesters and some of the professors go out of their way to teach you interesting things so that's good. I believe the curriculum should be revised as soon as possible.

Placement Experience:

4th year students are eligible for campus placements. there are many students who get pre placement offers (ppo) after their internship only. Usual companies lke TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture comes here for 4-7 LPA packages. Then there are companies like DeShaw which offered a person 54 LPA package too.

DTU is best in providing best student life!

I applied at some of the private universities outside Delhi like the Christ and Kristu Jayanti in Bengaluru and Symbiosis Pune. I gave those entrances and was qualified but through management quota. DTU is a deity for me!

I am from Delhi and therefore applied at all possible colleges of DU. DTU fees was higher than that of DU colleges but the value that it brings, fees was no bar as on the basis of my CUET score, I was granted admission here. There are some quotas but entrance scores were mandatory it's just that cut-offs were different for different people....Read More

DTU is mind boggling!

Admission are same like Delhi University admissions as CUET UG is evaluated and a score of 500 or more is the cut-off for DTU. However there are just 180 seats for our course, students have to be early in applying as once seats are full then score doesn't matter but no new admission are entertained henceforth....Read More

One of the best Delhi government colleges

I chose this college over other colleges as this is a government college and holds the dtu brand value. Also the data science minor that I'm doing is very helpful for today's students and teaches real world application and skills like python and sql. Apart from this i applied to DU and got a decent girls college but the course included was bcom which is quite common for everyone now and didn't have a good curriculum. Also exposure at dtu is quite more than any other Delhi college now. The admission process for management programs in dtu includes selection based on cuet scores. Marks of English and gt are taken for bba and English, maths and any other 2 subjects for ba economics honours. For btech it is based in jee exam scores. To get into btech the competition is quite high whereas for management programs the competition is quite moderate but it is incerasing every year....Read More
