Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for computer engineering can be divided into two parts, the subjects which are actually good relevant and actually contribute in the future. Such as OOP, CN , DBMS, OS etc. And there is the other lot which actually don't have any relevance but are considered to be important. Those subjects could easily be combined or reduced significantly if can't be removed all together.
Internships Opportunities
The tnp cell provides internship opportunities as well. For eg, Tracelink offered an internship role for ? 40,000 stipend and the recruitment process was also quite great. Internships but in general are to be found by the students.
Placement Experience
The training and placement cell in the college is quite reputed and established. One of the main reasons for students joining this college. Students become eligible to sit for placements from third year. The tnp cell brings a lot of companies all year round such as infosys, capgemini, hsbc bank and many others. The average offer is 5lpa with highest package offered is 45 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid the whole fees of 1,17,000 as I am a general category student. The breakdown is as follows Tuition fee: 1,03,541 Development fee: 13,459 Total: 1,17,000 Hostel and accommodation (optional ) College hostel: 2,00,000 Private hostels: 40,000 to 60,000 Exam fees: Approximately 500-1000 per semester depending on the number of subjects and number of backlogs one has. Scholarships: Eligible students(eg EWS, SC, ST) may receive significant concessions. For instance, SC category students typically pay only the development fees.
Campus Life
The overall campus life is very dynamic. The college has a club for evey student. From interceptors creating vehicles to ACES a techical club to Sanskriti a cultural club to TEDx, there is something for every student. Library, sports facilities everything is catered for the students.
Admission
I had applied to many colleges in the city but due to the high cut off i got selected here. But getting into this college was not any way lesser. First of all it has great connectivity and public transport all around. The admission process is quite easy here if you are eligible. The cutoff has been 96-97 percentile since two years for computer engineering. But once the eligibility criteria is surpassed the further process dine is quite easy.
Faculty
The most important aspect of any college review is the faculty section. The college has a good ratio of professors who are doctorates and those who aren't, they are encouraged to get a PHD done. Faculties in general are very approachable. The only down side is going to a lecture will not suffice your academic needs. The attendance is too strictly monitored. The curriculum is affiliated to SPPU. And i feel its quite well structured so there is no pressure on the students to complete tasks.
Night Life
As the campus is located in an area containing other campuses such as the medical college just 2 mins away the area around is bustling and very safe for students. The nightlife is quite alive and students can enjoy a lot exploring places around. Hostel closing timings are 9:30 pm for boys and girls.
