- The campus is around 200 acres big and offers plenty of facilities such as badminton courts, gym, carrom room, table tennis room, and much more. They also have a huge library with various resources and software installed in their available laptops
Dislikes
- The campus is situated quite far from the main city and requires the use of rickshaws or shuttle to reach there as basic necessities which are urgently needed might not be available in the small shops which are present outside the campus
- The male to female ratio in the fourth and fifth years are highly skewed with 80% of the population being female for the MBA term of 2024-2026
- The administration is strict regarding leaves and attendance, requiring minimum 80% attendance in lectures and yoga attendance in order to be eligible to apply for an outstation leave. If attendance drops below that rate then you will be given an F.
Course Curriculum Overview
The eye-catching point of this curriculum is that it offers courses from various fields or art, science, and commerce. Students also get a chance to learn new languages which are needed in the international business environment. The assignments given during courses also offer better understanding and practical application. Moreover, the compulsory internships offer a hands-on experience in the corporate world and a chance to actually put into practice the concepts learnt in college. The first 3 years do not have much focus on case discussions and this could be improved however, the last 2 years have a lot of focus on practical learning. Exams take place 6 times a year (3 mid term and 3 end term exams) and are application based. Every course has assignments, group presentations, quizzes, etc along with mid term and end term exams which focus more on research and team work.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunites are offered both during the 3rd and 4th year. During the 4th year, the placement committee conducts summer internship processes and brings in companies such as Tata AIA, Aditya Birla Capital, Birla Opus, and other big companies with an average offer of around 80000 for 2 months. In the beginning, companies mainly offer finance roles such as business anlysis, investment analysis, etc. Later on, companies with marketing roles start coming offering roles in the field of digital marketing, sales, founders office intern, operations, and so on.
Placement Experience
Internship help is offered during the 3rd year of BBA and good companies such as Zomato and JLL have visited campus for this. During the 4th year, summer internship processes start within a month of the beginning of the academic year. The placement committee functions transparently and honestly while aiming to ensure 100% placements. Most of the students succeed in getting placed. For internships, top companies like EY, Capgemini, DE Shaw, DCM Shriram, Tata AIA, etc visit the college and the highest package offered was for around 4 lakhs for 2 years with many of the companies offering PPO's. For the 5th year, final placement processes take place and achieve 100% placements. Top companies like Mercedes, Amazon, Aditya Birla Capital, etc visit and highest package was around 50 lakhs with the average package being around 19 lakhs. Roles are majorly offered in the field of marketing and strategy.
Fees and Financial Aid
During the first three years, the yearly fee is around 4 lakhs and this includes the hostel fee. However mess fees of 35000 and electricity bill is not included and has to be paid seperately, students will also have to pay for a uniform (5 shirts). However, the top 3 students receive a 1 lakh rupees scholarship. Fourth year onwards, MBA begins and students have to pay an yearly fee of around 9 lakhs along with additional fees for mess and placement assistance of around 35000 each. These additional fees are a one time payment to be paid at the beginning of the academic year. As in the first three years, electricity bill will have to be paid by students around every month. The top 10 students receive a scholarship which helps with reduced fees.
Campus Life
There are 7 clubs and around 13 committees on campus, ensuring each student is able to find something that interests them. Social festivals across India are grandly celebrated making sure no culture feels left and various sports competitions take place which include both inter and intra college sports competitions. The classrooms are equipped with AC's and projectors alongside shifting white boards while the library has a variety of books and the library desktops contain various software such as efinitive. The college has an annual fest called infusion which offers various events such as comedy nights, dj nights, dance competitions, summits involving professionals from various streams, and inter college sports competitions.

IPM is a residential program and thus, students have to compulsarily live on campus. For the first 2 years, 4 students live together in 1 room. From the 3rd year onwards, students live in pairs of 2 in one room and each room has its own attached washroom. All the hostels on campus have AC's in their rooms along with washing machines and drinking water facilities. The mess amount has to be paid compulsorily and it is a one time payment done at the beginning of the year. The mess menu has a variety of different meals everyday and the menu changes once every one month
Admission
I chose IIM Rohtak over NMIMS mainly because iim rohtak offered an integrated program and gave the opportunity to pursue an MBA straight away without giving CAT. Moreover, their curriculum was much more diversified and also offered more practical experiences which I felt would be necessary for entering the industry smoothly. They also had a residential program which gave a chance to have continuous learning at any point of the day and offered a better campus life due to their vast campus
Faculty
In the first 3 years, the course is mostly taught by visiting faculty who may either be Indian or foreginers. However, the faculty is from top-notch institutes and experts in their field. For the last 2 years, mostly college faculty teach the courses using a mix of case discussions and real-life discussions. The professors provide visiting hours wherein students can freely visit them for doubts and they are also open for research paper collaborations. The exams are mostly application based where simply writing textbook answers will not fetch marks without demonstrating understanding. There are 3 semesters in a year and each semester has a mid term and end term exam thus, there are 6 exam seasons in an academic year. There is relative grading and students need a minimum of 4 CGPA in the first 3 years to pass onto the next year
Interview Experience
For the IPM program, there was a competitive exam called the IPMAT which rohtak takes seperately for its own admissions. After clearing the exam, I had a personal interview. I mentioned in the interview that I spoke conversational French so they gave me an extempore topic and asked me to answer for that in french. They asked me questions related to my subjects in 12th grade and asked basic questions related to economics and mathematics. In the end, they asked questions related to general knowledge and asked for the prices of common items such as rice on that day. The interview lasted for only 10-15 minutes. To prepare for these rounds, I read the newspaper daily and brushed up on imporant topics from my school days
Night Life
For the first 3 years, the hostel in time is 10pm after which you cannot leave the hostel until morning. Going out of campus is also allowed only on Sundays from 10am to 5pm. However, from the 4th year onwards, there is no in time for the hostel and students can enter or exit their hostels at any time. Students are also allowed to go outside campus 4 days a week from 5am to 10pm. The library is open from 5am to 10pm and the campus is free to roam around at any time. The sports facility closes at 10pm too. However, for food, there is a night canteen available which is open from 9pm to 3am.
