Course Curriculum Overview
I am so much into developing so i chose this computer science course which will be quite helpful for my future. The curriculum prepares me really well, i also learnt new features to develop new app which i am working on it. A little improvement should be made in the computers in the lab. The timing of exams is 3 hours which is a lengthy hour for us to complete our exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
I pay 13000 yearly. And the tuition fees is in installment wise i.e., for 1 semester i pay, 5000, for admission i paid 12000. I apply for state scholarship to which i get around 10000. The fees of this college is quite reasonable.
Campus Life
The overall experience is very good. I am in my 1st year and everything is going really well till now. People are friendly here and quite good to mingle with. There are different clubs here like, Science club, nature's club, photography club, NSS and ncc . Different kind of programs are held like cultural day, farewell, freshers day etc where during that time they invite celebrities and make our program even more fun.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is really good, foodings, lodging and water facility. Jotsoma is a place where there is enough water. We get meat daily and quite enough for us to fill our stomach. Registration process is easy we just need to fill up form and give it to warden. The location is anywhere around the campus there are a lot of hostels.
Admission
I chose this college because it is a government college and its quite affordable for anyone who wants to pursue their studies. Kohima Science College is a peaceful environment where the faculties and the students can interact really well. I applied for other 2 colleges but they had entrance exam which i couldnt make through but this college has no entrance exam. The admission process is easy, we just need to fill up our forms online and do fee payment offlind.
Faculty
The faculty members are very friendly and easy to approach.There are a lot of faculties and i dont have any specific one as everyone is really good. The best faculties are obviously my department teachers which is the computer science teachers. There are semester exams which is held 2 times in a year and its not so hard to go through.
Night Life
There is a big library at the campus where every books are available. There is also a college canteen where it is quite affordable for students. There is a gym just outside the college gate where students can afford it. There are a lot of hostels for both boys and girls.
