For the 2024 batch , our college introduced the NEP policy so we are able to improve in skills as well as our studies as well which prepares us for future and civil services as well because we tend to learn abit of arts and abit of science as well, we are not focused on one particular paper only so it's a plus point for us

I am a student currently studying in kohima science college ,1st year Bsc in geography. As per our college fee structure it is a government college so it is not that expensive and is affordable for every student compared to the private colleges. The fee structure for the first year students is in the following manner- •admission fee - Rs 12, 500 (including the uniform) • NoteBooks - Rs 1030 • Library fee -Rs 1000 which is refundable • Bus fee - 1000 per year The scholarship schemes are available too bt the college does not provide its own college scholarships, it's either sponsored by central or state . The schemes are as follows- •State Merit scholarships •Ishan Uday scholarship •Central scholarships Kohima science college is pretty affordable but when it comes to people coming from the town the bus services is pretty trash , town dwellers tend to suffer due to the availability of buses which are less and we students have to go standing or sometimes either walk home for people staying in kohima town. For the reservation of admission the privilege is given to ST/SC students mostly but even the OBC students can join since there is 10 or 5 % reservation .

We have various events like- international men's day International women's day Parting social for our seniors Freshers day One of the popular events of our college is the winfest which is held during December where there is outdoor sports as well as indoor. Games and competitions like •Band battle •bird sighting •Basketball and football •Eating competition •esports these are very popular and students tend to enjoy watching it.

I chose this college as I didn't get selected in JEE exams and i believed that taking a gap would turn into a wastage of time so I chose this college and also it is quite reasonable compared to other private colleges. The selection of this college was based on our class 12 exam percentage , they only chose the students who is worthy of the college and passed with qualifying marks.

Scheme of examination is as follows- •Theory paper with maximum mark 100 Internal assessment full marks -30 Ext. assessment full marks -70 Duration of exams -3 hours •Theory paper with maximum marks 50 Internal assessment full marks - 15 External assessment full marks -35 Duration -2 hours •Practical paper Internal assessment - _____ External assessment full marks-50 Duration - 3 hours The best faculty is sir Shevito which is a young asst. Professor who currently joined the college from NPSC exams and is a qualified and a friendly teacher

The night life in and around our campus is 10/10 No pollution,No noise, Very peaceful and a very good environment for studying and concentrating and going out for walks as well. One good this is tobacco is not sold around the campus so students do not get influenced to all these substances easily. The air is very fresh and nearby our college is a mountain where students can go for hiking
