Course Curriculum Overview
Bca curriculum is well structured and covered key It subjects, making it relevant for careers and higher studies. However it needed more hands on projects. Exams were mid and moderately difficult with coding subjects being tougher.
Internships Opportunities
Gitam offers internships with companies like TCS, wipro and startups like web development, data analytics and software testing with stipends ranging from 5000-15000 per month.
Placement Experience
Placements for bca were decent but not as strong as engineering. Studies become eligible in the 5th semester with companies like TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, Infosys, Accenture visiting, highest package was around 7 to 12 lpa , while the Lowest is 3 to 4 lpa . In engineering courses abt 70 to 80 percentage gets placement but in Bca it's 50-60 percentage mainly in it support and software trainee roles.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee for Bca is 3 lakhs 47 thousand something for 3 years. Yearly breakdown is 1st year - 1,10,200 2nd year - 1,15,700 3rd year - 1,21,400 Apart from tution fees additional charges also included like admission fees, registration fees etc Scholarships are also available like merit based, need based, sports scholarships, loyalty scholarships, government scholarships.
Campus Life
Campus life was really vibrant, we had various clubs like kalakriti, gusac, anime club, drawing club and many more. Almost all the students participated in these clubs and were involved in various events. Competitions are held though the year be it sports, cultural, writing etc. library provide wide range of books, we also have e-library.
Admission
I chose Gitam University for its well-structured bca program, good faculty, scholarship and mainly campus life. I applied to Gvp but Gitam had better infrastructure and college life also faculty support. Admission process at Gitam is so smooth with eligibility based on 10+2 score and by Gat. Overall a good choice though placements could improve.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is balanced, allowing good interaction. Most professors are supportive and approachable. Some faculty members should out in engaging teaching methods Bca course structure was well designed covering programming, databases, networking and web development, though some subjects felt more theoretical. Exams included mid exams, end-of-term exams, labs and internals along with assignments. Marking gas Fair, but certain subjects have strict evaluation. Failure rate was low Overall everything is strong for me.
Night Life
Night life around Gitam was fairly limited as the campus has strict In timings. Hostels and campus gates closed by 9 pm-10pm, restricting late nights outing. library, gym , cafeteria mostly all closed by evening with only few spots staying open later. Inside campus students often hung on cafeterias coke station and some common areas. Outside popular hangout's are restaurants, cafés and some malls.
