Course Curriculum Overview
Basic MBA curriculum including all management courses, also had additional skill courses such as Advanced Excel, Bloomberg for Finance etc. Also provided exclusive placement training for students. Difficulty of the exam depended on the lecturer setting the paper.
Internships Opportunities
My college provided unpaid and paid internships as well but very few opportunities for internships, mostly have to be managed by students. Overall not good for internships and must bring in more internship opportunities for studenst
Placement Experience
from 3rd sem, students are eligible for placements. Packages lasted between 5-9L with highest package reaching 14L for my batch. Companies such as Oracle, PWD, Colgate, OfBusiness, Oxane Partners, Naukri etc visited for placements 70% of students were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee for 2 years was 10 Lakhs, I got scholarship of 2 lakhs by writing the GAT(GITAM Admission Test), my other batchmates had various other scholarships such as alumni concession, sibling concession, good % in CAT and other management exams.
Campus Life
Many fests such as GITAM Cultural Club- Kalakriti fest, Business School Fest- GITAM Excellence Meet and Annual fest- Shore are a few main fests to name, apart from that, the GITAM Sports meet is also conducted. Every department had their own clubs, I was a part of 3 clubs- Marketing Club, HR Club and NSS. I was also part of the Academics Affairs Committee in Student Council for Management Students.
Admission
I chose this college because a. It was in my hometown and i did not want to move out of studies for personal reasons. b. The fees was affordable for me, anything above 12L would have been difficult for me to afford c. GITAM is a well-known brand in the education sector in South India. I wrote GAT to get admission in this college.
Faculty
1 faculty for each subject, approachable and understanding faculty. 60/40 division for exams, 60 for internals which included presentations, projects, reports, assignments, viva etc and 40 for the written exam. Fair evaluation of papers.
Interview Experience
Yes, I gave the GAT exam which included basic questions of QA, VARC, DILR and GK. Then I gave an online interview where they asked me basic questions and a few management related questions. Overall, it was an easy admission process for me
Night Life
Surroundings are extremely beautiful, with parks and trees. The beautiful Rushikonda Beach is right opposite to our campus. Has a bunch of canteens and restaurants in campus which serves good food. No idea about hostels as i was a dayscholar.
Other Applied Colleges
IBS | Master of Business Administration [MBA]
Fees was too high for my standards
