Remarks

The faculties have been very much helpful in both curriculum n extracurricular activities. Placement department is trying its best to get as many companies as they can for recruitment. Funds for events like Supra and Baja may be slightly improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum gave me great knowledge in the basics of mechanical engineering. I felt like the syllabus we had was bit outdated its most common problem in india. And coming to exam stracture we had 4 quizs, 2 internals, 1external exam each sem.

Placement Experience

I would say placements are not that good for mechanical at SIT. Coming to CS,IS branches they hv really good placement. And i being Studied mechanical got placed in an IT company. So placements are moderate. And for mechanical they do not provide any kind of intrenship but its compulsory for us to do intrenship outside.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yearly fee which we will be paying is of rupees 175000. As i have got my seat through comedk and talking about feasibility for me its an appropriate amount because it includes every kind of fees like for library and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarship offered by our college based on the financial condition of a student and for backward casts. This advantage can be enjoyed with submission of legit documents to the college office. And for loan facilities the management is very supportive.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are very much encouraged at SIT. They have even allotted specific faculty for perticular activity and being in mechanical they have lot encouragement towards SAE teams which participate in SUPRA, BAJA and other events for SAE(society of automotive engineers) members.

Alumni/Alumna

They have really great alumini network in fact we have separate office for alumnis of SIT at campus. And separate guest house if a alumni wishes to come and stay at campus they will provide it with very reasonable cost. We also have alumni membership of life time. This makes great network between students n alumni. I have received many career suggestion from seniors and they hv been very helpful due to this network.

Admission

I got my admission through 2nd round counciling of COMEDK in the year 2015. My rank in comedk exam was around 13000. My CET scores were not that great.It was around 37k. so i got admission through comedk.

Faculty

The faculty at SIT are great considering the majority of it because in every college there will be 1 or 2 useless faculty its same with SIT. Some of them have really great technical knowledge. And faculty with extreme technical knowledge and everyone's fav is Barath sai kumar

Because sirikulam in terms of Reliance and comprehensive or not really good time period is very less so far academy here and we can't have time to study well and are many and I didn't expect this before college joining

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

- Talking about me choosing this college over other colleges is because Siddaganga Institute of Technology comes in the top 10 colleges in the entire Karnataka and also has an NIRF ranking below 100. - I had applied various other colleges in Bangalore, but my ranking from KCET was 10,072 which was too high as per the cutoff put by those colleges so I couldn't get colleges in Bangalore and I landed in here. - I didn't get any rejections from other colleges as I had a good ranking in KCET exam along with an aggregate of 93.3% in my 12th. It was just the cutoff of the colleges that made me land in this college and I don't regret being here as I am happy that I am in one of the best colleges in Karnataka. - The admission procedure is simple. If you are coming through KCET or ComedK, then the seats will be alloted by the respective board and these students just come with the required or mentioned documents and just come and do admission in here. If the student is coming through Management seat then he has a different procedure. - There is no particular eligibilty criteria for admission in here, just one thing matter is the students rank which must be below the cutoff mentioned by the college. - The exam most preferred by the students is KCET, whose cutoff varies as per the branch they want admission for....Read More

I had got selected to this college based on my KCET EXAM rankings and i had given this college as my preority at 4th place and got it. i was so happy about getting this college and there was no other second thought and joined here.
