College life, friends & unforgettable memories

1.From my PU days, I had vision & plan to join ECE. But what motivated me to join SGBIT engineering college is because of good teaching staff, great environment for vernacular medium students since we were not much fluent with our English & accessibility to college was easy. 2.To be honest curriculum can't be much tinkering due to VTU syllabus. Yes there were some extra curricular activities done regarding placements but I still call it a 0 efforts from management. 3.I would suggest management to focus more on improving placements related activities for students as well as other social activities or fun activities for students to keep motivated. 4.Exams were more often due to conjecsted timing of each semister, like every month there use to be IA for all 6 subjects plus after 4 months external exams including lab to wind up with semister. Overall exam patterns were horrible for students, not due to excessive exams but to maintain it with course made it very difficult to digest.

1.From 7th semester students will be eligible to attend placements. 2.LG soft india, VXL instruments, Bosch are the few companies visited during 2018 passout placements & i would say below avg package was offered from almost all companies ( around 2.5 to 3LPA)

Total fees : 53500/- Tuition fees : 43000/- Other fees : 10500/- This fee is for govt allocated person Apart from this exam fees was around 2000/- per six months For management seat fees varied from 80000/- to 120000/- Scholarship from state government : 18000/-

1.Namr of the annual fest was Samveekshana & it use to held for only 2 days. 2.Library was good according to my experience. During our college times we use to get all the books related my course for 15days. If I want to use it more then I need to refresh the access of book. 3.There were not facilities or technological provision during our college time. 4.Sports & other curriculum I would say 0, there were no sports conducted or any sports persons were recognised. 5.There were no additional social activities or clubs happened.

1. I did apply for Jain college of engineering but due to CEF cutoffs I didn't make it. 2.Reason to choose SG balekundri college is teaching staff. They are very humble & geniune. 3.Yes I could able to meet CEF cutoff criteria for Jain college of engineering so I got rejected. 4.College admission & eligibility will be depends on CEF ranking. My CEF ranking back then in 2014 was 69638 but I could able to make it to ECE in 2nd extended round in CEF. 5.Admission process is easy. Just follow the government information & do the banking work & submit the receipt with your personal details like aadhar pan & etc..

1.To be honest faculty & staff were above par interms of experience. Good knowledge & always humble enough to understand students problems. 2.Staff were always approachable for any doubts or clarifications. 3.Faculty called Shakargouda patil was absolutely genius. He completed his studies in USA & joined as teaching staff here around 2010. During our college days he was so good in teaching, friendly behaviour & very disciplined person. 4.Prabhushetty was the HOD of ECE department & he was very vulgar to girls interms of speaking. He even use to smoke infronts of classrooms which made students to feel uncomfortable. 5.Evwry semister exams varied from 6-8 & practice 3. Based on students capabilities passing & failing was declared. I didn't see any unfair decision about this.

1.No group discussion. 2.Admission was based on CEF ranking. 3.I prepare rounds on my. Own studies. no addition coaching is done. 4.GD topic was wether pakistan artist are allowed in India or not & my side was always no saying they may get more recognition than our own artists.

1.Gym was nothing but few dumbles & chest machine. I would call it simple room with couple of dumbles. 2.Cafeteria was below par & unhygienic. We got good bread pakoda over there, that is the only memory i have from cafeteria. 3.Publiv already around college was really good since the college is in center of city, accessibility was good for everything. 4.Hostel gate will be closed after 10pm, there were no timings for college during exam times. But regular timing after 11 pm college will be closed. 5.There are couple of temples inside the college & most of the students will hangout in that area, either infront of temples or if they want privacy then behind temple.
