Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is standard. It includes all the relevant courses which can prepare a student to become a good engineer to the real world.Labs are very good and well maintained. Design course is a compulsory subject in our curriculum which most of the students find not intresting.I think this course can be made elective so that only interested students can take it instead of wasting their relevant time

Fees and Financial Aid

As a general category student,i have to pay 113000/- sem wise, which includes tution, hostel and mess fees together. Each year this fees will get increased to certain amount for the next freshers. So our seniors' and junior's fees will be different from ours(i.e. seniors' fees will be less than ours while junior's will be more than ours). Scholarship is given for OBC category students through some procedures.I don't know think so General category students are getting scholarship. Also students from SC and ST category have very low fees compared to others. Reservation is also there for NRI's through DASA and CAWG. Students from DASA have to pay very high fees for each sem while CAWG category students are having less fees than DASA.

Campus Life

4

Vashisht and Samgatha are the technical and cultural fests respectively held in even sems. Fests are not that good Books and journals in Library are pretty good Technological provisions within the classrooms are good Sports and extracurricular activities are pretty good. All necessary sports things are provided by the college. Also our college have became the champion in 6th Inter IIIT. Social groups like Red Ribbon Society is there for health related stuffs. Technical clubs like SAE,AUV and MARS is also there which improve technical skills of students. Cultural clubs like music club ,dance club and book club also there which are going pretty decent

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facility is pretty good compared to others colleges In one room ,2 students if you are btech while single rooms for M.tech and PHD scholars. Bathrooms are well maintained Meal quality is sometimes good and sometimes very bad but adjustable for most of them Registration for hostel and affordability is done along with admission procedures I don't know any locality if we want to rent a room or PG because mostly everyone stays in hostel only as it is a residential college

Admission

I had applied for NIT Jamshedpur in Biotechnology.I chose this college over that because I got mechanical engineering here which is a core and my interesting field than Biotechnology. Also the nirf ranking of this cllg was within 120 at my time. Also this college is near to my state. Admission procedure is through JEE MAINS rank To get Mechanical engineering you need JEE percentile of 94 if you are from general category. After getting selected,u need to submit the necessary documents which will be out in the college website. They will ask us to come on specific dates so that it will be easy for us and them to go with the admission procedure

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio will be around 20:80. Most of the faculties are good and approachable. My favourite faculties include Raja Sir(HOD of mechanical department), Kishore Kumar Gajrani and Kalpana Settu. These faculties always teach well and revise every topics they cover .We can approach them whenever we need help without any hesitation. Faculties which i don't like is Timmaraju,P.Kalpana and Sreekumar. They are having very High ego towards students and not approachable. In each sem ,there will be 2 exams , one is midsem and other is end sem.Exams are of good standard questions and some times difficult to answer. If 100 students write an exam, a chance of 3 or 4 students can fail Course curriculum is very good

Interview Experience

4

Group discussion was not there . Admission was through JEE MAINS rank only. There was no interview for btech students.PHD students had a college exam followed by an interview. They too didn't have any group discussion for their admission

Night Life

5

Gym opens from 5am to 10am and then from 5pm to 10 pm at night.Gym is mixed . Cafeteria opens from 8am and closes at 10pm.We have night cafe which opens from 7pm to 2am . Library opens from 9:15 am and closes at 10:00pm. Hostel in-time is 12 midnight while we can report at the main gate at any time as it is 24×7 . Few malls and beaches are there near our college for hangout place. Inside campus it is very small only 50acres.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum behind or campus is very much updated and it is changing as the technology changes. As the present world is engaging with computer and artificial intelligence,I want to improve more knowledge and also want to compete with others. The time table and the devlopment technology followed by our university is devoloped so that only placement are recorded with high percentage when compared to other. The improvement should be observed only regarding labs.We have write examination for every 30 or 40 days , because there are 3 internal test ,semester and lab exams.Actually time is not sufficient but we have to do hardwork.when compared to other universities or colleges our exams arebwry hard.

Curriculum is not suitable for real world applications and exams are conducting simultaneously every 20 days.We have to study every single minute for getting good CGPA . Our curriculum is very tough to study and it increases the thinking power of students.
