Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course particularly to avail the great facilities of the college. There are many clubs and opportunities to avail. The faculty to student ratio is decent. The exams were smooth but quite hectic generally. There are various practical classes, to apply the knowledge learnt in theory classes and to understand the concepts and topics better. Overall, you also get spare time to invest in other activities like society, competitive exams, hangouts etc. Thus it enhances the overall college life, with a more holistic development of the student.

Internships Opportunities

4

Several companies come to the campus during the internship season at the end of 2nd year and beginning of 3rd year. However the competition is high and only the best of the lot get the opportunity to go to such companies. Mostly the companies ask for various industry relevant projects, like they require certain skill set like web development and DSA in coding. The roles vary with the type of company coming for internship, however mainly tech related companies come.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are nice and many companies visit the college every year. The average package is also increasing at a rapid speed. Students are eligible to get internship from third year. The highest package was an international package of 1.8cr and average around 12-15 lakhs. Even during recession period, the companies are coming with fantastic offers and this shows that they rate the college highly.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is on a higher side compared to other government colleges. However you can avail scholarship on the basis of family income and other parameters. The fees currently is 10 lakhs for 4 years and it is increasing every year.

Campus Life

5

The life at campus is very nice. There is also a dedicated sports complex. There is a positive vibe in the college and the atmosphere is pretty good. The library is huge with a variety of different books. The lush green campus provides a different look of the college compared to others. Variety of clubs, societies are present, to constantly keep you engaged in various activities.

Admission

You should have a great percentile in jee mains to get into the college as a general candidate. You should apply for the jee exam as soon as possible. I think that the admission process was simple and fast. Thus generally the crowd is better compared to other colleges. The seniors are very helpful too. Mostly the students prefer computer science branch due to the lucrative packages offered by the tech companies.

Faculty

5

There are two exams every semester, mid sem and end sem along with various practical sessions taking place throughout the semester. The curriculum is well thought of and is upto date with latest demands of companies. It is comprehensive and detailed and relevant to prepare for the placements. The faculty is also supportive and helps the students to go in the right direction.

Night Life

4

There are various cafes and canteens present throughout the campus. Also there is dominos present in the campus. Mostly the students come there during their free time. Also there are several small hotspots present. The OAT is a place where most of the events take place and gatherings too. The night life is also amazing with so much area to have fun in. The addition of gym is like an icing on the cake. Hostels are also present for accomodation of students living far from campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
