Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well I don't have particular interest in coding and all, I always had a kind of interest in working and building on new generation machinery, thatswhy I chose this course, also semiconductor industry is going to boom in coming years so ECE department has a good scope in coming future.

Placement Experience

4

My college offers placement to a nice extent. In my ECE department last year out 240-250 students nearly 180 students took campus placement and others chose to go for higher studies. The average package in 2023 in DTU ECE department was 17.4 LPA , with highest package going to 1.2 cr. Students of our department took placement in domains like TECH, NON TECH and CORE, companies like NIVIDIA, Microsoft, Samsung, apple, google, TCS and etc participated to provide placement. My plan is to take placement after my degree with a good package however till now I haven't decided to take in which domain.

Fees and Financial Aid

In 1st year btech students have to pay a total of 236700 rupees as fees, and 246700 in 2nd year, and 266700 in 3rd year and 276700 rupees in 4th year.in the first year the tuition fees is 155000 rupees and increases by 10000 in subsequent years. rest of the amount includes all the others charges like of lab development and etc. College also provides scholarship to needy students every year via selection process on various criteria. Also the fund for this comes from. The fee of other students

Campus Life

4

So far overall experience of campus life is very well. There are various fests being organised in the college from time to time such as Engifest in month of February, Yuvaan in November, Invictus, prarambh dandiya nights and etc. there are a variety of books and journals available in the library but available of books and journals regarding modern days technologies isn't involved. The sports facilities is good. And also there are various societies clubs that students can join, but I haven't due to some personal reasons

Admission

So I took admission via JAC Delhi, and I applied for admission in NSUT and IIIT delhi apart from DTU but I chose this college over others because of the following reasons such as beautiful campus , good infrastructure, recommendations from seniors, nice placements. I wasn't rejected from other colleges I just chose this college over others, IIIT is moreover oriented towards research and campus area is too small so I rejected it and NSUT is good but campus doesn't have much facilities and curriculum is very very strict, which I knew would have affected me

Faculty

3

On an average the faculty to student ratio is 1:70, which is not bad. The faculty to student relationship depends upon both the faculties and students. Some faculties are supportive and chill and they certainly know how to teach on the other hand there are certain faculties for whom this is just a job and they don't give a damn that whether you have learnt something or not. However in the college it is professors and phd scholars of labs who might engage you apart from curriculum to learn more and develop interest, naming any professor is not a good idea

Night Life

3

The night life in college is average, atmost 1 cafe might be open for night, around campus on one side there are places to visit in night but on other side there is kind of village which is not good area to roam around in night, various gym, cafeteria, libraries are there in close proximity of college, students can go outside of college even at late night however entry in college is closed at 11:00 pm,

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
