good acadamics with bad campus life

electronic communication is currently very demanding course . the curriculam is bit old fashioned and can advance a little . the curriculam is mainly based on theories and practical application is not that much visible .modern and current studies are not included in the curriculam. the teaching method is also little old fashioned . use of laptops is not allowed in the classes. But the core subjects are studied in depth . fequency of exams are very good and timings of exam is also very good and difficulty is normal to moderate . core subjects are little harder

internships are offered . inetrships are mainly offered by small startups and companies like tcs and other it comapnies . the stipend is also not that good . it companies give projects and works to stuents . it companies are mostly giving most of the interships

placements are pretty good . from semester 6 students become eligible for placements . there will be eligibilty criteria of 7.5 or more normally . IBM,TCS,infosys are usually visited and the averge is from 4 to 5 lacks . highest package of 15 lacks which is offered by cadence . 70 percentage students gets placed totally . my plan is to get placed in a core company

i joined the college through management quota.currently i am paying 150000 per year and 75000 per semester.total it will be 600000.there is caution deposite of 10000.admission fee is just 100.there is a speacial fees of 24000. The tution fees for management is 150000 per year . there is a special facilities fees of 10000.there is also pta annual fees of 1050.For NRI students fees 190000 per year . there is also merit quota seats which is admitted through keam entrance exam rank which is the entrance exam for kerala engineering colleges.for merit students fees is 75000 per year. there is a scholerships for SC,ST catagories and EWS catagories.Also scholership for OBC ews . For the education this fees is affordable

overall experience is good . fests conducted are pretty low. although tech fests are conducted each month . but art fest are conducted very rarely which is also by students it self . the most anticipated fest is BHARATHAM which is conduted once a year .it is conducted in march or april . the facilties in class rooms are not that good and oldfashioned . sports get encouraged pretty good by mangaement . there is ieee,asme and other international organisations

hostel facility is not that good . hostel follows a curfew after 8.00 pm for boys and 6.00 pm for girls . food is not availble inside hostel . rooms have charging ports and a fan and each student have their own bed and cuboard . bathroom is common for some rooms . hostel fees is 24750 per year which is very affordable . hostel food is not that good . it does not follow a very good diet plan . hostel is pretty strict . rooms and pg availablity near college is very low.

i applied many collegeslike LPU,SRM,VIT and also got approved . but the fees demanded by many universities were not affordable. i choose this college because of its decent acadmics for affordable amount of fees . comparing to other colleges area of plan is small and infrastucture quality is also poor . also the use of technology is low . admission is through 3 ways NRI,Management,Merit . merit is based on keam entrance exam rank . the cut off ec and cs is 12000 and 8000 respectiviely .admission process is very easy.

faculties for each department is good .most of the faculty members having PHD , MTech in their specific field . most of the faculties are very friendly especialy EC department members are very friendly and encouraging .cs and ec faculties are very good . although some minor course faculties are not that good . there is 2 series exam which is done for internals and end semester exam in each semester . the exams are easy to moderate level . 60 percentage students pass the examination overall . course curriculam is not that much advanced .

night life not that good . there is gym facilities but it is available at a particular time and sometimes will be close . canteen service is not that good . it is unavailble after a particular time in the evening and is cloed on sundays . library is good but library is not available at night or early mngs . hostel follows a night curfew that is 8.00 pm normally . hangout places are few outside campus is also very few . nearest town is 7 km from college .
