Remarks

Every college has a good and a bad point. The best thing about my college is the innovation labs, they provide you with everything and also the derbi foudation which not only is for my college students but for everyone who thinks of having a startup. The disadvantage is that the campus is very small, and there are no good activities like fests held.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In the first year we had common engineering subjects, nothing related to the actual course topic. The teachers are a bit new to this profession and that hinders the content that they deliver. We are provided with free innovation labs facility where we can form groups and work on a project or learn something new. Regarding the exams, there are three internals held, out of which best of two is chosen. And then the final end semester exam.

Placement Experience

4

The placement of my college happens along with the other two campus, several companies come, most of which are for mass recruitment. Almost everyone is placed in the 7th semester. Yes, the college does have internships in the summer vacations where they teach us the basics and we need to develop a product by the end of it. It is overall a good experience, but it is not paid. We have special labs called Derbi foundations in which students who have ideas about a product can work and earn upto 15,000 a month.

College Events

3

My college campus hardly has any fun activities, one celebrated is kannada rajyotsava, in which students and teachers take part. Overall not a very good experience. There are other sports activities held in all three campuses, so students get a chance to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible compared to all the other colleges. For karnataka students it is about 93k and for students from outside karnataka it comes upto 2 lakhs. The management fee structure is 5 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have heard about scholarships for students whose parents work in a government firm. They offer a loan facility too, in which they help you pay the total year fees and then you need to repay them through EMIs that year itself.

Campus Life

4.5

There is a sports event held every year which is inter university. The best Students from each branch are allowed to participate and there is an award giving ceremony held. The college a labs are outstanding when it comes to the updated systems and internet facility. We have special labs called innovation labs, in which students can work on their interests and build something good.

Hostel Facilities

3

I have not opted the hostel this year. I stayed for a year, the hostel infrastructure is really good, its 1,10,000 a year. The food is the major problem. Sometimes it is undercooked. Having an in time of 7:30 makes it hard to go out and enjoy as college gets over by 5.

Alumni/Alumna

The HODs are very helpful. They motivate you to take part in internships. Seniors are also well coordinated and help whenever its needed. The college provides us with an opportunity to mingle with the seniors through activities.

Admission

I had to answer an entrance test conducted by my college called DSAT. Once the results were out (i secured 18th rank) they emailed the further procedure and that i was selected. I was called for document verification and seat choice allotment.

Faculty

3.5

the faculty is helpful, they have mtech degrees and a lot of knowledge. But they are new to the teaching profession so the content they deliver is not enough to properly understand any subject. A few of the faculty members are really good.

Placement Experience:

Placements of our college was an average because our college is located in rural area and companies were not ready to come to that rural place but our placement officer used to try very hard in order to help students and get placed in well company. During the last year i.e, 7th semester palcements used to come and depending on our eligibilty we attented the interviews. My plans after the degree completion was to do software courses and join in software company because i did electrical and eletronics engineering.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNSIT are decent and consistent, especially for CS-related branches. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts training programs including aptitude tests, coding practice, mock interviews, and soft skills sessions to prepare students. Many reputed companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, and some product-based companies visit the campus. The highest package in recent years has gone above 20 LPA (mostly for CS/IT related roles), while the average package ranges between 4–6 LPA depending on the branch. Most offers are for roles like Software Developer, System Engineer, Analyst, and Associate Engineer.
