Likes

The infrastructure is one of the best in punjab
All facilities are available in campus like library, gym, Sports hall, parks etc.
All facilities are phd holders have a great experience in their respective fields

Dislikes

Very far from main cities like jalandhar & kapurthala
The State Government buses are not stops there
No restorent & other facilities available outside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

We have a lot of scopes in our field. We have join good PSUs & biggest companies or MNCs. All over the course curriculum is best. Exams are held at time. All courses are finished within the time. All things are going as per academic calendar.

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities

For a month we have a training with tata technologies in the field of robotics, design and cnc technology. For 6month training i chose maruti Suzuki India Limited in assembly production. We have a project which is presented for final grades.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester companies are started to coming in the campus. The companies like infosys, tata, Sonalika, Cognizant, oocl, hike education,L&T etc . The average package is 6-7lpa & highest package is 63lpa off campus in Microsoft and in campus is 21lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

A total of 75000 fe per year is paid including exam admission development fee. Their are many schoolership scheme are available like full fee waiver &50%fee waiver for sc/st & state quata students & merit cum also available.

Campus Life

Their are many fastivals & events are celebrated in the campus. Like engineers day, sports day,ncc,nss & Different tournaments are organised for cricket, bedminton, volleyball, basketball, kabbadi and science quizes. Committees like anti ragging, hostel, discipline,mess etc.

Hostel Facilities

In hostel room a bed,a chair,a table,an almirah and attached bathroom and balcony. Meal quality is very good & menu is changed by time to time.& Spacial dishes are also included on the occasions. Registration process is very simple just go to hostel office.

Hostel Fee: INR 15009 per year

Admission

Because due to covid 19 i found this college for completion of my future dreams. In this college,1st it holds a good nirf rank. And the faculties are PhD & have masters in their fields. For addmission you have a good score in 12th or a good rank in jee mains.

Faculty

The relationship between faculty and students is very good. All the faculties are very helpful and good nature. In one semester their are two mid semester,one final semester & a practical viva are held.

Night Life

Gym is 24×7 open. Cafeterias has also open 7days week from 9am to 9pm Library is open only working days from 9am to 5pm Public areas is open all time. For boys hostel gates are closed at 10pm & main gate is closed at 9pm For girls the time is 6pm.

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Good inetrship provided in any college for students

First of all i went to LPU which is no 1 in punjab ranking, when i visited it my experience was very good and placement was also good but the fees structure of every course was very high like if i talk about BCA then its fee was 180000 which was not right for me, so i did not take admission in LPU but the college was very good and i also went to geeta university in a panipat and no one knowledge about that college because it was in a remote area and the students there also explained to me that either do not take admission or you will have to pay fine after fine, this college is not good, so i dod not take admission there i did not take it and then i looked at IKGPTU where i am currentlu studying it was a budget college and not to far from my home and the course fees were also reasonnable, so i took admission...Read More
