The Actual Learning

The college has been treating me good so far. Can't wait for the coming 2 trimesters to learn new subjects and work on more interesting projects. Negatives being the lecture schedule which is sometimes too hectic but I think there are 2 sides to everything, good and bad. It's better to focus on the positives.

The course is an actual learning for me because this has nothing to do with the books. We work on live projects as we'd have to work in the industry, that's why our skills are relevant by the end of finishing the course. The exam pattern is very relaxed with faculties taking presentations or relevant assignments.

As we are yet to finish the course this is yet to be experienced. As far as it was told, we have a placement committee which help us with the internship/job opportunities. The stipend starts usually from 3L and can go up to 8L p.a.

Anything that is done in the college will have a learning experience to it. Just recently we had Mr. Boman Irani hosting an event where the social media influencers were invited to tell us about social media marketing. As fun as the event was, it was equally insightful. Other than that, the festivals are celebrated too.

The fee structure is expensive. Given the college is an established brand in the education sector, the premium is charged but faculties are provided too. Our course is for 11 months only but costs 3.5 Lacs, the same course for 2 years costs about 9 lacs

The loan facility that I am aware about is while paying the fees we can pay advance and pay the remaining amount in instalments. Also the college is very understanding in terms of payment of fees in case of delay by Banks in processing the education loan.

We have extracurricularextracurriculars like yoga, gym, sports events which is actually a good initiative. For example, Yoga is compulsory for all the courses and it's very relaxing and brings positivity, it's much required admist the stressful assignments and studies.

Seniors and alumni network is very helpful as they take the initiative to meet us and tell us the does and donts. Most of the faculties are the alumni of the college so they are more understanding and guide us well.

So the process began with registering myself and filling in the entrance form which requires you to fill your personal and work experience details along with essay writing. Once the form was screened and selected, I was called for a personal interview taken by one the faculties. Since the faculty was impressed with me in the interview, I was called and then I paid the fees for the course.

The faculties are professionls from the industry and it couldn't get any better. They teach us what is relevant. The assignments are something we need to apply our brains on rather than just googling it and copy pasting.
